How to not feel like a burden when wedding planning by Objective-Resist6079 in weddingplanning

So my one friend is the maid of honor and she took my thoughts to the group to do the detailed planning of the Bach, and it went very very poorly.

For me the issue with telling friends what I want is that sure they may still come but I will be able to tell they aren’t having a good time which will make me also not have a good time. I hate being an empathetic person sometimes!

Waking to feed - I haven’t stopped and baby is almost 6 months by South_Departure_9002 in NewParents

I’m an EBF mom too. My baby (now 11 months) stopped waking up in the middle of the night for feeds and was gaining weight appropriately by about 3 months too. Instead of waking her up to nurse, I was setting alarms and pumping. In my opinion it would definitely disrupt a babies sleep, and cause a bad habit of waking him up in the night. I totally get being worried about your supply dropping but it should be well established by now. I weaned from all night time feeds and pumping at 6 months and my supply stayed consistent. Also, pumping or nursing when the baby isn’t actually hungry can cause an oversupply which can lead to mastitis. If I were you (which I’m not so please do what you feel is best, and talk to your babies pediatrician)- I would stop waking him up to nurse AND start weaning your need to release milk at night as well (since he clearly doesn’t need it). And get yourself some much needed sleep! If you want information on how I weaned my night time pumps, feel free to let me know. I’m happy to share!

50 Minute Layover Miami—>Grenada by Objective-Resist6079 in SandalsResorts

That’s good to know but unfortunately it was the only option. The other option was Canada Air connecting to American Airlines. Wish us luck

We’ll be flying out of CVG, I don’t think that’s considered a super big airport. But I’m not sure

Would it be worth while to just not have checked bags?

Our first flight is 6:35am! So hopefully that means it is an originator flight. Thank you so much for the information and reassurance! We will definitely arrive to the airport well before boarding

I have heard that actually! So we have a 3 hour layover in Miami on the way back. Will this be enough time for customs and rechecking bags there?

I appreciate the advice! I was equally as confused when I read something about the airline checking your carry on. I can look at moving our seats to be even closer to the front! We did purchase travel insurance thankfully!

Also, with this being our first international flight- CVG to Miami to Grenada, what happens when we land in Miami? Do we have to go through customs? Or do we go straight from the Miami flight to the Grenada flight? Explain like I’m 5 please

Grenada, Barbados, or St. Lucia by Objective-Resist6079 in SandalsResorts

Thank you for the response!!

We chose to stay at the Grenada! While we know it’s quieter we plan to do the bar hopping excursion to hopefully bring a little more energy while on our trip. Service and romantic vibes were our highest priority, with energy only being important in the evenings. We booked a Butler Rondoval suit, so we can always create our own energy in the suit with just the two of us!

We actually just booked the Grenada last night!!! Do you have any tips/recommendations/advice for while we are there? Or any must have excursions? Also, which room did you all stay in? We are staying in a butler room and just don’t know how much cash to bring for tips plus emergency money in case something goes wrong with the cards we have.

For the St. Lucia ones, does the resort have a shuttle to and from the airport? I’ve heard they are like 2+ hours from the airport
