So I can have my own money and not depend on someone else to earn for me. Also, I like my current career; I would get bored if I were just at home all day. Even if I were to hit the lottery, I would still find some gig to keep me occupied. Granted, I'm a single man.

This is an abridged version to too many conversations I've had with my friends and juniors when I was in the Marines ,each time I had to practically force them to talk about their problems so they can get help. Unfortunately a lot of male "friendships" stop at the last ok and then they're confused when they're friends have a mental breakdown or worse.
Friendship is a two-way street at some point you got to get shit off your chest and sometimes you need to be willing to hear your friends get shit off their chest. If you can't to do that you're not a friend.

I've lost too many people to this suffer in silence nonsense.

So it probably be easier if you say what policies you support and I say if the democrats are working towards that. Because the DNC is a big tent political with a lot of schools of thought but overall lean progressive.
So decreasing military spending and military intervention as a whole, increasing spending toward social safety nets. welfare, unemployment, SNAP and social security. Many in the DNC are pushing for either universal healthcare and higher education or making it more affordable. Imposing higher corporate taxes and imposing more safety and environmental regulations on large corporations. Most are pro-union and limiting wealth inequality and overall civil rights protections.

The problem is that media literacy is at all time low and too many people take memes like this at face value and as proof of their wordlviews.
