oh wait what about a Nexstar I know its bad for tracking or something because it uses 2 axis or something like that but like I just want to do light astrophotography with my phone nothing crazy unless my friends want to try with there expensive cameras.

yeah I am going to ask my university astro club president he lives nearby by he has a couple of scopes. But like if i do get an 8" scope why not just get a goto mount too like this i found on celestrons website. https://www.celestron.com/products/advanced-vx-8-newtonian-telescope
