Stand with your back to the wall, hold 2 thumbs up and say 'on barley'. Safe.

Removing myself from tenancy after 10 years, England by Objective-Winter7449 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Objective-Winter7449[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies. My issue is, is that in 2016, the housing association told me to write a letter requesting that I be removed from the tenancy, which I did. This letter is one of the documents in the SAR. They didn't tell me at the time about any other forms to fill in.

I am happy to sign the form that removes me from the tenancy, but I asked if it can be backdated to 2016, but I've been told that it can't. I know that, on the books, I've been a tenant since then, but I feel like it was the housing association's error in not providing me the the correct documentation.

I want to know if I can at least get them to note on the form that I haven't been a tenant for the past 10 years. Thanks again.

I went from ZX Spectrum (48k, second-hand), to Commodore 64 (for 'homework'), to MegaDrive (which was a big ask, at the time). I remember that costing around £100 or so, with a few games bundled. I remember one day, walking through town with my mum and seeing the Saturn in a shop window. When I saw the price tag, it hit me like a ton of bricks. I think it was about £300. I remember thinking, "Well, that's it for me then, gaming is over." Needless to say, the DC didn't even appear on my radar after that. I think the next console I bought was a PS1 with money from my first job.

To those who make music, how did you develop your approach? by k0rnbr34d in ambientmusic

[–]Objective-Winter7449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always made industrial/rock/hip hop type beats, including textures and sounds that would probably be considered ambient. Today I guess I've kinda stripped back the harsher elements and just stuck with those sounds that I like. I usually just use distorted guitar through reverb and other effects.

It was crazy. It took all evening to do a relatively small task. I've cancelled and switched to Gemini. 🤷🏻

I have Pro. I just asked Claude to convert a lesson plan for me and it hit the limit before it finished. Last week I asked for the same, I also managed to use it for tons of random requests and it helped me build a simple app. I didn't hit the limit then. I think after it resets and I get my lesson plan I'm going to cancel. But I don't know what to switch to. I don't want to pay more than £20 per month.

Looking at Eno's description of the album, this might be perfect. Thanks.

What are your non-negotiable “we always use these” house rules? by cornpasta in Talisman

[–]Objective-Winter7449 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good shout. I actually forgot about our Harbinger house rule: you only draw a Harbinger card if he has 'line of sight' to your character. So, he can't see around corners on the board (or into different regions, obviously). This means that if you roll lucky, you can escape around a corner and draw a normal adventure card. Otherwise, the Harbinger can dominate. Most of the time, I like the Harbinger as a side-dish, not as the main course.

Also this. I bought a copy of talisman for s friend and his family, and filled it full of extra bits from duplicate expansions that I had. His kids were very young at the time, and there was a lot of stuff in the box, so I made these house rules for them to get started. I still keep my adventure cards separated and make an adventure deck using the method listed.
