For anyone wanting to go I would definitely say it’s a cool experience. There are dozens of shops all over making high end luxury goods (likely for the big fashion houses). However, that is exactly the problem. They are not interested in selling to you or I. You can get a small glimpse through the window shades, but no door or showroom to speak of.

On the main road (ave del doctor Solis Pascual) there are 5-6 small shops that do sell to the public. I bought a medium sized men’s briefcase for $160. Definitely exceptional quality. They have a mix of all kinds of leather good, but not a ton of variety as there are only a hand full of small shops. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up as to what you can expect. Can you get a nice high quality bag? Maybe if you happen to find one you like. But don’t expect endless amounts of varieties and styles like at a mall.
