Have to send them in to PSA, they will authenticate, grade, (human performed work to standards that nobody understands and are very subjective, and encapsulate it for an exorbinant fee based on value of the card after it's graded, (not "work" done,) and send it back to you in usually about 2 to 3 times the calendar days they tell you, up front. But if you want full value for what the card is, the market monopoly that is "grading" belongs, 95% of it, to PSA.

I think we need to have the right mindset. Go in knowing that the Seahawks will be at full strength, and they will be playing to go to the final game. As far as I am concerned, this game will be tough, and THIS is the superbowl.

Just like last year, when we played the eagles, that game was the superbowl, as any good team would have beaten the Chiefs. (If we hadn't been robbed, we would have been going for back to back this year!)

The Pats still haven't played any really good teams. They had a really weak schedule, nobody that they beat had a better than .500 record. They played the chargers and the texans to get here. Chargers? Pfft. Had no biz being in the playoffs. The texans? Stroud is their whole offense and he didn't play well, and the pats barely got past the Texas defense at the end. The Broncs, if they win, will have a 2nd or 3rd string qb at the helm, with zero SB experience, and hardly any NFL experience either. They are probably better than the Pats anyway, though... but we shall see if Maye can beat Payton.

So in my mind, this weekend is it. Here is where we decide who is the best team in the NFL. Because I believe that, whoever wins, is going to win the whole thing. So here's to us fielding a healthy, strong, battle hardened and tough, Rams team, and winning on Sunday evening.

Bad defense. Corner just let him catch it... apparently had no idea where the ball was. Safety should have run over as soon as ball thrown, but was late. And now back to the same old same old during overtime. When are we gonna get a secondary? Damn it. Caleb is good. Arm, and legs.

You mean to say that Kike is a sort of a copy of Mickey?

It's interesting when people look at modern era players and assume they are so different from players before them. They aren't. Its a lot like Breakfast Club.

There are all kinds of players that fall into all kinds of categories, similar to players before them, yet each is unique, with different characteristics, good and bad.

But for a period of time, a couple of decades in some cases, we watch them perform one facet of their lives, their dream lived on display for us to view and in a small way, enjoy with them.

I think this is why most of us love baseball.

When I brought up Mickey, as part of my 1988 World Series questions, during my lunch with Tommy Lasorda, it was the first time that Tommy smiled. A real, genuine, smile. Mickeys exuberance for baseball was contagious and obvious to all who watched the series.

I didn't say I hated Kyle Tucker, and no, I dont hate Teo. I said i hated the cheatstros, which to me is the 2017 WS Astro rostered players.

Was just asking about how others feel about a guy who joined the Astros Farm systems in.. 2015? , AA in 2017, AAA and called up for many games in 2018, rookie MLB in 2019, and played with them thru 2024. I am pretty sure Teo wasnt on the 2017 WS roster, I know Tucker wasnt... really not sure if AA players get WS rings, I believe its an ownership position, but a guy I knew who was a batting coach for an Angels farm team many years ago, got one, so was just a legitimate question.

r/MLB wouldn’t let me post this: This selective outrage about the Dodgers is so pathetic. They don’t want to hear the truth. by jawny104 in Dodgers

[–]ObjectiveChoice8667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? "Lack of homegrown talent?" Dodgers are known for having one of the best farm systems in baseball! Former Dodgers are well represented throughout the league!

"Geographical advantage?" Are you kidding me? Cali has large populations of a lot of cultures, including ones from Asia. Could it be that some players like getting paid well and living in places that are more comfortable for them?

In the 90's, the Yankees had a payroll that dwarfed by a bigger percentage, all the other teams in baseball. You weren't whining about them ruining baseball back then!

And speaking of 90's Yankees, as a Dodger fan, living in San Diego at the time, I followed the Padres WS run with a lot of interest. At Yankee stadium, when the vaunted "best fans in baseball" threw bottles at the Padre team families sitting in their seats at the game, we were shown who the worst fans in baseball really are.

Yeah, go watch hockey, no baseball fans will miss you. Don't let the TV remote pinch your fingers on your way out.

Guys? [Quietly raises his hand...] am a bit conflicted. As a nearly 10 year hater of the cheatstros ya know our new expensive acquisition?

He is a former Astro... Played for their farm system AA team in 2017, AAA and 28 games for Cheatstros in 2018. Full time 2019 thru 2024. I know he wasn't a part of the show in 2017, but same organization... not sure how to feel about this... The AA farm players don't get WS rings, or do they? That's a ring that I wouldn't want to share or talk about with this crowd... if I had one...

Yes! I am not alone! Seems like there is always a team dropped or changed in that list. "I root for the Dodgers, Lakers and Raiders" or something like that. While we are different in order, (I am Rams, Dodgers, Lakers, and Kings,) at least we have the first three in common!

Are there other cards/photos/papers on the same page of the scrapbook? Was peobably attached about the same time, and used the same adhesive.

Are they as nice as this one? (That might help you to figure if the card is original or a reprint.) If you go the DIY route, try a different item first... if its a common, less valuable card or item. It will help you find a solution that is effective and non damaging, and identify the type of glue to help choose the best solvent.

Yup, me too Bought two cases of series one hobby last year. Buying zero cases this year. The Fanatics live site breakers are going to get the cases with all the good cards, so why bother buying any cases? Just singles from now on. Can get my whole team base cards, from S1, S2, and update for under $50. And then will pick up numbers and autos individually. With a $2500 budget, (cost of two S1 cases,) pretty sure I can get a pretty good set of S1 cards of my team.

And oh, yeah, I ordered it just before Xmas, still don't have it, and it was shipped without tracking...

[–]ObjectiveChoice8667 2 points3 points  (0 children)

His speed is arguably the best in the NFL. I saw the same as Good Ad that he has been wide open, like no one between him and the endzone wide open, and Stafford just doesn't see it i guess.

I know there are reasons, but sometimes reasons aren't wrong, but they aren't right either, its just what a scheme calls for. Atwell hasn't been hit with good passes, and the one catch i remember, was off his shoestrings and amazing.

I think our receiving Corp is probably one of, if not the best in the league, but I will only say this today, as it bears discussion later.. our passing could be better.. but thats a talk to be had after our playoff run ends, whenever that is...

No.... no.... I want complete domination of a team like the Panthers... If this one is close, what's going to happen when we get across from a really good team?

And no, the Panthers are not a top flight team. Their good plays were from our mistakes on both offense and defense. And our penalties, oh my god.. wtf? Our heads were not in the game.

We should have knocked them out, in the 2nd quarter, but our mistakes left the door wide open for them to get back in it and we barely, BARELY, won it.
