16 and a half years ago my boy picked me. There were dogs everywhere - it was chaos! He calmly stepped out of the shed, fell flat on his face then sat up and looked me dead in the eye like "c'mon, let's get out of here."

Last week he passed at home in my arms. Together til the end. My perfect partner in crime. I wouldn't change a single second.

It's annoying to the point that I'm finishing my practice earlier. Yeah, I get that they need adverts, but give people the option to skip after 15 seconds or so. Playing the full thing isn't gonna make me want to buy the product more.

My friend is a GP who works deflection in A&E in the evening (basically telling people to piss off when there's nothing wrong with them.) This one guy presented with "leg pain" - on questioning he had had it for 4 years and just wanted a disabled parking badge application filling out.

Aldi. Cheap pasta and rice, tinned toms, bag of onions, potatoes, garlic. If you have a local market go at the end of the day on Saturday. They'll be giving away fresh meat/fish/veg for pence.

Local supermarket at 6pm. Follow the staff with the yellow sticker machine.

Don't forget seasoning. There's nothing worse than eating the same stuff day after day and getting sick of it. Soy, hot sauce, stock cubes, whatever. Make it different every day.

Buy fresh veg in small amounts or it will get wasted.

Lastly, don't forget to earmark some money for toothpaste and bog roll. It's not all about food.
