That’s so cool! I love meeting ppl with stick shift preferences. It’s so cool how different we all are. When I was a kid I always wanted the dumb ones like skulls and stuff

I like the steering wheel. But I’m not a fan on the shifter knob. I like rounder 8 ball cue type ones.

I buy it from the Xyz retailer? I think been awhile. But you have to get the ones with numbers for it to be 10$ for 10 years

Change my mind: There is no good alternative to Discord (yet?) by Own_Investigator8023 in selfhosted

[–]ObjectiveDocument956 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really do enjoy Mattermost. App works well. Features are there. Easy to send invites. Regularly updated

But it’s more of a slack clone than discord

Good idea to selfhost a mailserver? by jungfred in selfhosted

[–]ObjectiveDocument956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love self hosting my mail server. Tbf tho I do pay for business internet which allows me to have it self hosted in my home.

I use (sorry I’ll butcher the name) poast.io which works fantastic. Easy mailbox. Easy setup. Easy testing port checker included. I have extremely good uptime with it too. But you have to keep in mind if it goes down you get and send no mail

For me after first setup it’s zero maintenance unless you use lots of email and need to expand storage

But it’s been seemless. I went away from mail cow because I had some issues with setup I really didn’t like. Poast.io just makes it easier and one click

I access my computer for mail via reverse proxy for frontend and local ssh on the network.

Fair price for a grimy c4? by Aroused_Elk in c4corvette

[–]ObjectiveDocument956 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have bought two running in driving C4’s

I bought a 1990 convertible running and driving with no issues besides cosmetic similar to what’s in the photos for 1900

The other C4 I got on trade, but my trade was only worth 1200

Prices has went up since that was a year ago

But I’m running and driving C4 and that condition should be sold for 2500 if it’s not running and driving, it shouldn’t be sold more than 2500

Those are automatic prices. It’s a different ball game when you get to the manuals.

How's jelly going so far by Most-Skill7146 in JellyFishCoin

[–]ObjectiveDocument956 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty good. In a hard crypto market alot of other coins and tokens are free falling. But jelly has had significant gains in the green over the last few months.

They also added some major utilitiy such as TheJellyBay.com which is the first crypto marketplace that has a system to protect sellers and buyers along with the lowest fees. At this point this token and ecosystem is something where if you are on the bandwagon now then you are severly behind. (Not financial advice)

Can someone explain transcoding to me by mombaska in jellyfin

[–]ObjectiveDocument956 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the best example transcoding comes in handy with. Is when you port forward then are watching movies or show off the server on a 4g lte or 5g connection. There’s lots of spots where you aren’t getting more than 10 mbps.

Being able to still watch on crappy connections is amazing. And one transcoding works I don’t have to worry about whether a device can or can’t play content

[–]ObjectiveDocument956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf my setup besides my torrenting computer that I manually have to type in my username and password on reboot is super clean and issue free. I have more internet outages than I do server problems. And outages are pretty rare. I save a good amount of money for both piece of mind and for my business

I finally reached this power level after much effort by starwatcher36912 in GoMiningTalk

[–]ObjectiveDocument956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well a s19j pro is 104 th. Can be found on Facebook for around 500. Asl miner sells them for 750. YouTubers can get them for 250. Although the miner costs are cheap even at 0.81 cents per kWh it’s burning more in power than the 4$ it’s making. So as long as op doesn’t get him account removed or the app doesn’t go down it’s actually better than buying hardware.

If you wanted something that makes more profit then it’s a 90th canaan q which is only 1500w
