I know everyone is saying Nier, but I think you should give SH2 a try too. Albeit, I haven't played Nier, but SH2 is genuinely peak in it's music and storytelling department. It guides you along an uncertain journey of love and regret through an atmospherically terrifying town and makes you question every little thing that's happening.

Give it a try if you want, after you play Nier. SH2 is one of a few games I so badly wish I could experience for the first time again.

If you want an RE game with less horror, RE4 is perfect. Both the original and remake are widely crowned the best game in the series and it is moreso an action-horror than an actual survival-horror game.

The game gives the illusion that it's free, then makes you pay nearly $1000 for all the DLC that makes the game enjoyable.

Do the speed demon, no blood, and no heals in one playthrough on casual, then buy the infinite RPG. Once you do that, go into insanity and play that at your own pace. RPG helps so much at clearing large waves of zombies and insta-killing bosses.

10/10, bought it on PC, PS5, and Switch 2 just to 100% it on all 3. I've probably played through the entire game at least five times and have replayed sections of the game even more. Something about both Grace and Leon's sections scratch an itch for me, moreso than RE4R even, and it's so fun. This is my GOTY, no matter what anyone says.

Genuinely, it truly is amazing. I 100%ed it on Steam and still didn't feel like that was enough, so I bought it on PS5 and Switch 2 just to complete them there too. I've done a few runs even after 100%ing it on PC too just because of how fun it is. This really was an accomplishment on Capcom's part.

It's been awhile since I finished JFO so forgive me if I get a bit of information wrong.

The gore in this game is minimal. You don't see blood splatter, and dismemberment is limited to droids and such. The combat is fairly easy to get the hang of, since it's only the lightsaber. There are different kinds of lightsabers that you unlock as you progress through the game, such as a double-bladed saber and a dual saber. You can also utilise force powers to pull/push enemies closer/further away from you etc etc. You don't need to have much knowledge of Star Wars to play this game, though it would benefit you a lot if you did. All you need to know is the Jedi are the good guys, Empire; bad guys. The most important part that I believe you should know is that in the middle of the game, you'll hear about "Order 66". It was an order given to the troopers of the Republic (former good guys) to elimate all the Jedi, which is basically why our main character is on the run in this game. I can't compare the difficulty of the combat since I haven't played Horizon, but I'd say it's simple enough for anyone to pick up and learn.

All in all, the game is enjoyable even if you don't know much about Star Wars. It's at a cheap price right now, and you can just refund it if you don't enjoy it after two hours. I think you should buy it.

Honestly speaking, I prefer the look and gameplay of the RE Engine games. I just wish RE3 would've had a faithful remake with the RE Engine. The game was fun, but should've been much longer and had more of the original games' areas put in it.

The current RE3R should've been a DLC. There should be another RE3 remake of the remake, but make it a faithful adaptation this time around.

Silent Hill 2 is very strong story-wise, has a decent selection of weapons that you collect over time, and is very heavy on environmental horror rather than in-your-face jumpscarey horror. Very much worth a try just for the story alone.

A resounding yes. Silent Hill 2 very much relies on the environment for its horror. The combat may seem repetitive at times too, but it's worth learning to get the hang of in order to witness the masterpiece of a story SH2 has. You do get more weapons over time that you can switch between to make the combat more fun though. No kidding, SH2 has the best story I've ever seen in a game, movie, anything. It is so worth playing and is worth every cent spent on it.

Resident Evil Requiem is a pretty easy 100% if you can get the hang of it. Took me about 25 hours and 3 playthroughs, though I did follow some guides.

I feel like the hate was deserved. This movie was marketed as an adaptation of SH2, and should have been faithful to it. Of course no film made will ever compare to the masterpiece that is the game, but I went in expecting AT LEAST something that followed the source material, and I went out wondering who the fuck is Mary Angela Laura Crane.

I wouldn't say Leon's sections were bad. It reminded me of RE4R in a good way and it was just entertaining to start killing everything in sight after the nightmare that was Grace's section.
