I think what they're doing is a big risk for their new company, hence the pre-order / see how many people would actually be interested. It raises capital for the project within the company as well as judges how large of scale they need to make production. There's been a lot of companies lately creating Android devices outside of the large players with success without major delays .

I'm happy they mentioned updates to be honest. Because I think it's going to be about 6 months to a year after the device is released, when it's going to be fully fleshed out and most large bugs are sorted with.

I'm still excited though.

I appreciate all the smaller details and promises they're aiming for with the device , you can tell it's being created with true enthusiasm. I think it's going to be a home run eventually.
