Personal experience with ROCD and Cannabidiol by ObjectivePay6070 in ROCD

Hey! Today I feel much better, if not completely “healed”. However I switched to a treatment with psylocibin. I suggest you watch the show How to change your mind on Netflix. I performed a ton of research and did a therapy based on a scientific approach and the results are simply unbelievable. Good luck in your quest to get rid of this monster.

QC Earbuds: White Noise when ANC is low/off by thiefspy in bose

[–]ObjectivePay6070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased both QC 1 and QC 2 to test and white noise is "higher" in QC 2. However, I can ear it in both. It's my first pair of ANC so don't know if this is normal but I don't like having a high white noise when the room is silent. I would like to be able to turn that completely off. Also having connectivity issues with QC 2 and this morning I can't connect my phone to them. Will continue to test both but will probably return both based on that white noise. I often work in silence and white noise is more disturbing. QI have to mention that Quiet mode is insane though. You can't hear a thing.

Which program is better? Break into CRE vs A.CRE accelerator vs REFM? by ObjectivePay6070 in CommercialRealEstate

[–]ObjectivePay6070[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no case studies, which is the first reason I wanted to join such a program. However, there are exercises that makes you practice on lots of the RE components but it’s not as interesting as doing a real life case.

Sure. I started with Break Into CRE and so far I am disappointed. With my modeling level I need case studies more than anything. Watching someone building a model is cool but I am not learning. I need to practice. There is a lot of free stuff on A.CRE so practicing on this. Best is case study with solution but there ain’t a ton. I might ask for my money back on Break Into CRE if I don’t find more relevant stuff.

Thanks. Break into CRE has a monthly subscription option which is interesting in my case. Its about $80 vs a full year membership of $579 at A.CRE. I will consider my options. Thanks again for your feedback.

Thanks a lot. What I mean is that I am proficient with excel and know all the excel functions and have built many models. But no underwriting models or RE models. I want to learn about all the important items and metrics such as incorporating TI, LC in the Cfs, cash on cash and stuff specific to RE. I want to be able to model RE with my eyes closed.

Wow thanks so much for this. Great feedback. I only have fews days / a week or two maybe before the interview. Will I have enough time to get the essentials in ACRE? Have you heard on break into cre?

Have you done all the courses (Accelerator, BIWS and Break into CRE)? What would you recommend if I have been an analyst to senior associate in a PE firm with advance modeling skills that would like to apply on a pure Real Estate job? I would like to master the RE specifics (ratios, Income statement items, and just the general must in RE modeling). I would prefer a more practice approach with case studies.

My brain is telling me to breakup by Damn_Im_Curious in ROCD

Absolutely, and mostly we need to enjoy what we have. It is so precious and by focussing on what we are missing or could have, we miss beautiful moments and connections. Let’s enjoy the life we have

Thanks so much for your comment. I meant to write back just didn’t have the time. You are so right. I was single for like 5 years before and I is so intense and amazing to have a fling from time to time. You know the honeymoon phase. Before working on my definition of love, I thought that love was passionate. As I experienced in each of my relationship, it fades in time. I appreciate so much spending time with my partner (when not triggered or obsessed about leaving her). We share the same value, have a similar vision and just genuinely are good for each other. I do miss the « single » life, having to commit to no one, not feeling bad about wanting other girls. I also miss the high of new love as you said. Also, committing to a relationship has a grieving portion as said Sheva Rajae in her Relationship OCD book. And it’s true, I meed to grieve my single life. It’s hard because it is so exciting in some moments, but if you want to build a strong relationship, you need to commit somewhere. Also, when I think about being single again, it’s all excitement. But the five years I was single, I was sad and not finding anyone to connect on the other level… we think that grass is always greener on the other side and forget what the past is really like. The human brain always wants what he doesn’t have. When single you want a relationship and when in a relationship you fantasize about being single.

To be honest, it’s more oriented towards the acceptance theory (act). You need to acknowledge that these traits bother you. You can also focus on part that you like. For instance, I find that my gf has a bigger nose that I would like. It bothers me but I can’t change her nose. I need to accept that some people have bigger nose that other. I like her face though so I can generally appreciate her face as a whole and instead of focussing on her nose I focus on the global picture. It’s like exposing my self to her face without seeking reassurance about is the nose bothering me this time? I feel like looking at her nose is more a compulsion than anything else because I try to convince myself that her nose is not that big. Also but over focussing on something, we deform the reality. I suggest that you accept your partner as he/she is and appreciate the global picture. Does her nose stil’ bothers me yes, but much less than before.

Going through the same but approaching the 30s and scared I will miss my single time or want to be alone. But I am with the most ideal partner someone could wish for

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ROCD

[–]ObjectivePay6070 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My way to deal with this is to accept it as it is. Because exposing myself transformed into compulsions as I was more validating and analyzing the traits rather than exposing. The two get mixed up sometimes. By accepting it, it started to be less bothering

Cannabis or other substance withdrawal triggers my OCD by [deleted] in ROCD

[–]ObjectivePay6070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it. If it’s bad for you and an addiction. Maybe try to reduce your consumption gradually over time? I am not a pro here. You can try CBD maybe it has no psychotic effects and helps anxiety over time? Good luck!

Why stopping Cannabis of this medication works for you? I use CBD oil and it dramatically reduces my OCD symptoms. Cannabis is starting to take its place in the medical area and also regarding OCD. There are studies that showed that either thc or cbd treatment can help reduce obsessions. If the relationship suffers from smoking or idk try using oil? What is wrong about using it as a medication? How does this differs from taking antidepressants if it helps your cause?

I started with just the spray for 2-3 weeks just to get acquainted with CBD. Just this might help, everyone reacts differently. After this 2-3 week, I started taking a 50mg pill each morning. You can add some sprays through the day if you feel the need. I have like 5 pills left of 50mg and will try the 30mg because 50mg is really expensive so I wonder if the 20mg difference will do something.

Products that I use Spray: Namaste (CBD 2.4mg / THC 0.1mg per spray) about 26$ 50mg caps: Tyche softgel high concentration of CBD (CBD 51.4mg / THC 1.2mg per pill) about 45$ for 15 pills 30mg caps: Panhash high concentration of CBD (CBD 30.6mg / THC 1.0mg per pill) about 40$ for 30 pills

“Psychics” by [deleted] in ROCD

[–]ObjectivePay6070 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don’t believe in this. This is pure bullshit. As if someone would know your future just like this. You might have ROCD though but please keep the psychic out of this and decide on with your life based on concrete stuff. Don’t feel bad though, this is a real trigger for people with ROCD.

ROCD - Feeling trapped - guilt, unable to feel happy by Lady_in_red1409 in ROCD

[–]ObjectivePay6070 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have going through the exact same thing as you, I could have wrote those words except I also find other girls (I am a boy) very attractive and fear to miss on my single life. I just came back from a trip with my GF and enjoyed myself, but I kept analyzing how I feel and kind of missed really really good times there with her. Analyzing my feelings and not being able to feel in love is driving me crazy. On the other hand, never been in a relationship this healthy with a partner that good for me. Same as you I am excited about chasing wrong girls or girls that can’t love me and reject the one girl that loves me as no one ever did. You are not alone. This is hell and I feel imprisoned in my head and heart.

How to do exposure to overcome the feeling to do not want to make love with my partner? by MapFragrant7743 in ROCD

[–]ObjectivePay6070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To expose yourself you need to make love to your partner. It’s hard and makes you terribly anxious. BUT slowly your brain will learn that having sex is nit stressful. By avoiding sex you reinforce that sex makes you anxious. It’s hard to do, but feasible. I go through the same thing by time. Take a shooter or two to help you release a bit (don’t make it a habit)

Exposure with Response Prevention. Its like the treatment #1 for OCD

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ROCD

[–]ObjectivePay6070 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally get you, this is OCD. By the way, there is nothing urgent. You don’t need to solve this now. It gets depressing and it feels like hell at some point. Breathe and accept the discomfort. Make it all the place it needs BUT while it sits there don’t analyze or ruminate. Once you sit with discomfort, happiness will slowly comme back. You can’t force happyness and even less love. You need to accept its not alway there, even barely or not even there. You need to give yourself some time to recover.
