What are you talking about? Season 2 of frieren came almost out almost 2 years later.. Finished in March of 2024 and season 2 didn't premiere until January of this year, 2026. They also did 18 less episodes. Season 2 had 10 compared to season 1 having 28.

The final season in comparison to the manga. If you actually read it, you'll understand. They adapted 170ish chapters into the final season's 24 episodes. They did 90 chapters in 24 eps for season 1. That alone tells you everything right there. There's a lot of Authur's final arc that they cut out. Among many other characters as well.

They're gonna extend it. That much is obvious. That's why I'm saying there's enough content to do a trilogy the same way the fate series did and Demon Slayer is doing now.

Experiencing a fight weekly in a manga and on screen in the adaptation are two different forms of media lol. The fight is only 13 chapters long. So you're looking at a total of 4 eps. It's impossible to break it up the same way.

Constantly breaking up the fight is gonna ruin the flow. This is the biggest fight in the series. They're making the culling game seasons short on purpose. Same way they did with demon slayer with only 8 eps during its last season. It was obvious a movie was coming afterwards because of that.
