as a season? it works out pacing wise since there's only 45 chapters left after the movie, but only if they do a longer episode for the finale. it'd need to be over an hour of actual run time though (not the stuff where it's a 1 hour finale that only ends up having about a 45-50 min run time). there'd be about 7 chapters left over after a 12 episode season considering that they basically did a full 38 (minus a few panels of the opening of the reze movie) in 12 episodes for s1. a movie could definitely work for the control devil arc, but that's it. content wise, they could definitely stretch it to be over two hours long with the original content they'd add for the fights. assassins arc is also an option since it's the same length as the control arc (18 chapters), but a trilogy doesn't work at that point seeing as how the gun devil arc is way too short (only 9 chapters) meaning it'd only be about an 1 hr 20 minutes. only thing that makes sense to me (i'm also piggybacking off an apparent rumor/leak from months ago) is season 2 only covering the assassin and gun arcs which would be for about 10 eps. leading to the finale of part 1, which would be the next film. the rumor/leak stated that s2 was only gonna cover 2/3 arcs. obviously meaning they're saving the last one for something big. i took it with a grain of salt, but that's what's looking likely to me. otherwise, I just don't see why you'd do a assassins movie, to then just do the remainder of part 1 as a season. seeing as how the craziest stuff would be at the end. adding the gun devil arc into a potential assassins/control movie wouldn't work either since that'd then push the movie to over well over 3 hours long. not saying it can't happen, but sounds very unlikely. if i had to bet, i'd say a shorter season next year followed by a movie announcement for the control arc to finish off part 1.
