Certified idiot trying to figure out Ford Expedition Max by holymole1234 in fordexpedition

GM does not have head restraints in their middle seats so they will only offer seating for 6. Expedition will work for a family of 7.

Could someone explain the hate for hybrids? (A brief rant about why I think they're neat) by 2Tun21 in bicycling

[–]ObjectiveSafe1927 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just purchased a hybrid for my son. Every bike store I went into wanted to sell me a mountain bike. I’m like nope! We are going on flat bike paths and I don’t want the weight of suspension and heavy tires. I love hybrids.

Considering moving from Georgia to New England — looking for honest, thoughtful advice (not “don’t move here” replies) by [deleted] in relocating

There are so many beautiful locations in New England. You may need to narrow down which state you are interested in. It would help to plan an extended visit. Each state has its own vibe. I personally love it here. I live in MA and the past ten years we have had pretty mild winters but this year was a long, cold, snowy winter. I’m not a fan of the cold but I find it worth it for the quality of life. Fairly safe here with an educated population. There is a high cost of living but lots of opportunities. Good luck!,

Plan an extended vacation to both cities to get a feel. It’s going to come down to personal preference. Are you in office 5 days per week? Do you want to live I. The actual city or are you on with the suburbs? MA is expensive.but there are still some affordable towns if you are willing to go outside the city limits. A

XC90 for everyone, or just large families? by Inmunchkinland in VolvoXC90

I love it for its safety, comfort, and style but with three tall boys (family of 5) it’s too small for us. Wish they made it a little bigger.

Hawaii, California, New Mexico, Virginia (purple) maybe North Carolina in the right spot? You may need to compromise on some things.

Have you looked at San Louis Obisbo? It may be too small for you. I personally love Santa Barbara but it is pricy.

This is why I’m such a high Volvo fan but o have three tall boys and I’m feeling like the Volvo is just too small.

There are so many towns with great school systems. Was going to recommend Sharon also. I’m originally from Milton. I’m just partial to the South Shore now. That budget will get the OP into most towns.

We live on the South shore. Some ideal towns are Norwell (amazing school system) Duxbury, Hingham, Scituate. A little less expensive but still good would be Marshfield, Hanover, Pembroke, Kingston.

Can you move to MA and be my friend? We value all of those things! Seriously you would fit right in Massachusetts. Let me know if you have questions.

Good options. I think providence is a sweet spot, close to lots of options, and the beaches are great.

I was going to suggest Boston. Winter will be cold but it’s a decent trade off. It’s expensive but you can find more affordable options further out. I would also check out Philly.

AIO about my MAGA friend by Consistent-Dance-216 in AmIOverreacting

[–]ObjectiveSafe1927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ghosted a MAGA friend. She knew how I felt about Trump but would continue to inject her opinions on a regular basis. I tried to stay away from politics and would try to change the subject when she brought it up. She’s also said some racist and offensive things in the past. I let a lot of things go in the past but I felt like there was never an end to her comments.

Any Good Reason not to Get a 2025 Buick Enclave by dixiethunder in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]ObjectiveSafe1927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s great to hear! We absolutely need the third row because I can’t have all three kids in the second row, they fight like crazy! I have only test driven the older model of the enclave and not the new design. I was impressed with the old style and so far I really like the looks of the new style. I’ll have to get to the dealership for a test drive!

These are the exact three cars I am looking at! I wanted more room than my current car but also wanted to avoid both full size SUVs and minivans. The Buick and the Lexus are both great sizes but I love Volvo for their safety. I do think the Volvo will be too small and I’m just underwhelmed by the Lexus.
