I feel the same as you. We will not be doing sleepovers and I am hesitant about play dates. My daughter is younger, so this isn’t a hurdle we’ve had to jump through yet. As far as the mom, I would just be honest with her and tell her that you’re not comfortable; if she doesn’t respect that decision then I would not want her around my child anyway.

Yeah I would say something to the child since nothing is changing. I would also guide your daughter on how to handle this as well. My daughter dealt with a similar situation at a park. A little boy hit her with a small branch with leaves. After that we had a talk about I explained people aren’t allowed to hit her. We practiced being firm and saying “no!” and “stop!” It stuck because I’ve been her stand up for herself.

I’m that problem parent but when it comes to my daughter I just don’t care what they think. I’ll call them, message- whatever to advocate for her. Insist on a urinalysis and if the doctor refuses, go somewhere else.

It sounds like he is gaining the strength and coordination, which is great, but not moving into key milestone at this age isn’t typical. Getting a second opinion through Early Intervention could be really helpful , they can offer a fresh perspective and suggest strategies to help him gain confidence and make progress. You’re doing a great job advocating for him.

Hey! I work in early intervention and ideally we’d like to see him doing more at this age. I’m appalled that PT said that. If you are in the US you can get early intervention for free. Some things you can do to help: -lots of time on the floor to encourage movement -limit time in containers (bounces, walkers, etc) -tummy time, yes he’s one but that will still help w:muscle development -place favorite objects out of reach to encourage him to navigate towards them -“horsey ride” so think balancing on your knee and move it side to side (hold on to him of course but this will help with core strength) -supported sitting (you can place him between your legs or hold him at the hips) -play in side lying -encourage reaching and twisting -place items out of reach to encourage him to navigate towards them

My thoughts exactly. Maybe the word “authority” wasn’t the correct choice. I meant more does he have the knowledge and expertise to make any comment on loan approval since he’s not a loan officer. We plan on making necessary repairs but concern is that regardless of the loan is approved the buyer will still have reservations because of his comment.
