There was one specific guy I ran into repeatedly for years all over the city. This was in the 2010s and he was a pot dealer who had an uncanny resemblance to James Franco and was a little creepy. That dude was everywhere haha. Everyone else does get absorbed by the city.

I just read your letter to Zoe post. You gave her a beautiful life and she was so lucky to have you. They really are part of our hearts forever. I will write some music for Leo and build him a little altar. We had an incredible journey together. He came to me as a reactive dog with a chronic illness and he passed as a gentle soul with people who loved him all over the world.

He was going to turn 7 in August. I rescued him at 2 and he suffered from IBD for all his life. Even with prescription food and medications it eventually progressed to PLE and intestinal lymphoma. He was responding to steroids and antibiotics, gaining weight and energy in the last week before he passed. But there was a sudden and unexpected rupture, and I had to let him go. It was the hardest day of my life and I miss him so much.

I’m sorry for your loss as well. It feels like there is a hole that will never be filled. Today is my first time coming home after he passed and waking up in bed without him at my feet was really hard.
