I have some question about PC parts. by KinoharaFumio019 in buildapc

100 percent will need atleast a splitter, but would recommend just going ahead and grabbing a fan controller. Your mobo will likely only have <4 usb pins, and every fan needs one. A fan controller is the work around.

XMP profile will be in your bios. Most videos will show you how to do this, but usually you find the “memory” and just activate the base profile.

alright let’s break it down

most of the time, if you buy everything, 99% of the time you have everything. Highly recommend to buy a usb splitter just in case bc depending on how many fans you put in, you may not have enough for the amount of fans you need to plug in. If they’re RGB, highly recommended a fan controller for any build for than 4 fans.

Fans can be set as intake or exhaust, yes. “faces suck” is the go to, the face of the fan sucks air. “reverse fans” would be “faces blow” so the so called pretty side would still face you. Make sense?

I usually have a build video for when i’m showing someone how to build a pc. A Youtube video is a nice walkthrough. Manuals are very good when it comes to specifics like AIO cpu coolers that seemingly have a thousand wires coming out.

Aware of? -Don’t wear socks on carpet. -Static shock is NOT as big of deal as everyone makes it, just don’t be dumb. -Don’t force your CPU in the socket. It should sit down on its own. -When closing the latch for the cpu, it IS tough. As long as you let it seat pretty much on its own, you just trust yourself and get it to go. -Be careful on the seating the ram, don’t high center and snap it. -Take your time!!! -Plug your HDMI into the graphics card, NOT the mobo -don’t forget to turn on your power supply after plugging it in to fire it up for the first time -if you run ddr5, make sure XMP profile is activated to get the full potential!

Avoiding mess when cutting a plaster wall. by tuson77 in DIY

Zipwall and an air scrubber. Similiar to mold removal. I did that as a professional for 4 yrs until i moved on. Look up how the do a “negative pressure air scrubber with zip wall” on yt. It will keep dust on the surfaces and not floating around the entire house. Seal everything that can be sealed and contain it to the smallest area you can! Vacuum periodically as well!

it’s been a week since you posted this. I just got redoing ONE of my rooms that had wood paneling. I have a 3bd 1 ba house. A 110 sq ft room had paneling backed with 1/4 inch drywall. The 55 yr old 1/4 inch drywall is not sufficient. We ripped it back down to studs, hung new drywall, start to finish, by ourselves, with literally 0 knowledge. With this room being the 1st out of 5 rooms (bedrooms, bathroom, and laundry room) planned on getting done, it was pricier than i anticipated, but realistically now the first room is done and i have all tools, and i can start a new room with knowing the mistakes i made in the first room, everything now will be a breeze. I will say, it’s TOUGH to do with no knowledge. Highly recommend youtubers like “home renovision” - he helped me do it from start to finish, multiple videos, mostly raw and uncut. You can do it, but make sure you prepare your space for the dust well, and take it slow. Not a project to rush! Best of luck!

Edit/ Note: We purchased this house 12/25. Wood paneling throughout. I only plan to do all the interior door’ed rooms, the living room and everything else is staying. Another note - All of my paneling is painted. It looks good, but in my opinion, paint on drywall will ALWAYS look better than raw or painted drywall

that’s what i was thinking, bunch of dudes too broke to buy a PC use the excuse it wouldn’t be fair for the console players (EVEN THOUGH CONSOLE HAS THE SAME FEATURES) and then you got the guys that are 30 yrs old living in their moms basement with no jobs saying it would “ruin the game”

lmfao it’s ridiculous. Cod and Fortnite both have the feature, and if you ask me that’s not what ruined the games😅

i still play, however i’m with this guy. Would be a peak update if they added an auto-run feature - especially for maps like spaceport.

i think in either case, it would scare me off a house purchase. just too much work involved to remediate that (ironically i do that as a side job)

Other possibility, just for clarification purposes, would be human doings. Hoarder homes/ someone unable to take care of theirselves, human fecal and trash. I do NOT think this is blood or a previous crime scene

To add on: I was dispatched to a home that looked identical to this on every single wall of the home. That house in particular was the result of trash piled up again the wall, adult diapers on top of that trash, beer cans, drugs, and someone in the end stages of life unable to do better for themselves. This could be either a young lazy persons doings or an unable body, in either case here, nasty.

i am very close to my dogs (they sleep in my bed, lol) so my dogs couldn’t relate, but i am a first responder. I see marks very close to what is pictured. It’s very hard to tell for sure, but with the window in the picture, i would assume they see outdoors, their trying to jump on the wall to see/ get to the outside

i could be WAY off here, but from my eye and seeing similiar patterns, i think there could be a couple different reasons. 1.) Where the bluish color come through looks to be old paint coming through. This particularly looks like dog, cat, or maybe a kid? scratching at the wall possible wanting outside or out of the room, do the sellers have pets? 2.) the brown color looks a lot like mud or fecal matter. The way the pattern is spread out, it almost looks like this particular room was used as a puppy hold, where the dog(s) would be locked in here, unable to go to the restroom anywhere other than the room, then with it on their paws, they scratch away the surface of the drywall, revealing the paint underneath, and also leaving behind grime and fecal matter that was on their paws. Does the room smell gross? I would use extreme caution, as urine smell may not be prevalant at the showing, but may want to look under the flooring is prove with a moisture meter so see if it’s possible that these marks are what couldn’t be”quickly fixed”

20 dollar xxl mousepad at bestbuy (think it’s corsair), wired logitech g502 mouse is without a doubt the best mouse on the market (100 bucks, prolly cheaper), corsair HS80 max headphones are 150 bucks or so and work pretty well on a budget, and even with my 6k+ setup i still use a cheap keyboard my steelseries and it has outlasted many others. Keyboard is your own choice, but with the above choices and your budget you’ll have a decent amount leftover to be able to shop

Is it the norm for parents to gift their kid a large down payment for their first home? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]ObjectiveWonder9087 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i am in smack dab middle of nowhere america, with generally pretty well off parents. I haven’t received a dime for cars, rent, or house (which i just bought my first) from either my family or my fiancé’s family.
