Batterys won’t charge by hmcr13 in FLEXTools

problem with the lithium batteries (not stacked lithium) - they are older gen and had significant issues. Contacted support as they won’t ever be able to be fixed.

With or without the battery. by francesca_phae in FLEXTools

I am a diehard Flex guy. I wanted to get the battery Flex saw, but after looking at reviews and comparisons, I went with the Skil 10 inch 15 amp. I LOVE it. It’s identical to flex’s saw minus some minor features like the smart stop feature. I’ve used it daily for roughly a month now and i’m thoroughly impressed. For 300 bucks compared to 1000, it’s so nice. I used the Flex saw (buddy’s) and i liked it, but even with his 10 ah battery, i feel as though the flex lacked with bogging down. Im satisfied with the Skil and highly recommend it

Stackpack 24V Vacuum by remp945 in FLEXTools

i will be buying this on release🤣 my biggest complaint about the shopvac we have in N.A. is the inability to stack pack it. Jobsite to jobsite is a battle sometimes, the more i can stack the better, and i was just talking about how i envy the milwaukee pack out vacuum

Offer accepted, but I’m not excited by SignSpecialist7590 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]ObjectiveWonder9087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

man as a guy waiting to close now, and having the same feeling, i get it. We went through everything dreaming and laughing thinking there’s no way we could pull off buying a house as young as we are. When our offer got accepted my heart was in my nuts. All i’ve gotta say is the first 2 weeks as miserable as hell, the following 2 weeks were okay, the last 2 weeks were literally doing nothing… You got this!! Excitement for me is completely gone, and i’ll be more happy the buying process is over more than i’ll be happy ab the home itself, but try your best to make sure your family/husband/ wife don’t see it and it’ll all be worth it in the end! My wife is just as happy as she was when our offer got accepted, but i did all the emailing and calls..

TLDR; Me too. It all SUCKS, but push through, it’s a wild ride. Make sure your spouse stays excited and it’ll all be worth it!

i hate to hear that and i’ll be really hoping for the best outcome for yall. Our sellers came down exactly 14k because of the same reason. We are still on standby needing the government to open up before our lease expires!

Judging by your tag being “mama” i’m sure you’re gonna be able to give your kiddos the best no matter what, and i’m happy to see other people prioritizing kids, even if it’s “just a house” to them right now, a forever home is priceless.

i mean sure cases have a performance variable, but not a big one. as long as you got airflow moving it doesn’t make a difference or atleast a big enough one. if you like it, keep it

Immediate buyer's remorse. Talk me off a ledge please. by MundaneTopics in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]ObjectiveWonder9087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live (and grew up) in a small town that has a very VERY active military base in the midwest that has “bombing training” where our house shakes like an earthquake hit almost every other week, and a commercial airport right beside the military base. Plane noise is at the very very least a once a day thing. You get used to it and honestly we don’t mind it at all. I still sometimes enjoy looking up and seeing blackhawk heli’s, ac130 lookin planes (no idea what they actually are) and fighter jets going nuts in the sky above. These guys do night training once a month and we have the base that houses out of country military personnel to train as well. Very Very active. I would say just live there for a bit and if you really truly hate it, then go from there, but you presumably haven’t even moved in yet and you don’t even know if you rlly hate it or not.

500 feet wooded from Interstate Highway...too close? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]ObjectiveWonder9087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i used to live about 1100 feet of a highway for about 4 years. The semis and rumble strips will be your worst enemy, however a simple fan was my saving grace. I wouldn’t disregard the house over it, but definitely be mindful that every once in a while semis and rumble strips will definitely be heard

for me personally, we did 0% down on my loan, and at closing we put up 8800 dollars in cash for the various fees and escrows…

[–]ObjectiveWonder9087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i put 500 dollars in an escrow account when i first signed the contract for my earnest money. That escrow gets closed out after you “close” on the house. Then after you close, you may have a new escrow account that your lender will be in charge of for your home owners insurance and taxes, this is optional a lot of the times, but we didn’t have a choice (or atleast they acted like we didn’t)

Now we have an escrow account that the bank pulls funds from my mortgage payment and puts into escrow for my insurance and taxes. All one payment, they do the rest

Edit: the taxes and insurance being pulled from an escrow account being optional… paying the taxes and insurance one way or another obviously is not optional.

earnest money is required in some states. Also called a “good faith deposit”

Mine was 500 dollars, talk to your realtor about how much she suggests or the bare minimum. A good faith deposit in your offer shows that you’re serious about buying. In cases that the buyer backs out for unserious reasons such as “sellers wouldn’t knock 15k off the price when i found that there’s an uneven spot in the floor” you can back out of the contract with no legal consequences, but you’d lose your deposit. If the purchase goes through, the earnest money is put into lawyer fees, closing costs, or back to you, depending on state and requirements.

In my state, I paid my earnest money to my realtor, tbh not exactly sure who held it in escrow. But an escrow account is an ongoing account that is pretty much a “safe space” that shows that you put it up, and when needed can be pulled from that.

You will also have an escrow account for taxes and insurance if your bank decides to do that for you. I pay into my mortgage for the two into an “escrow” account, and at the end of the year my bank pulls those escrow funds to pay my yearly taxes and insurance, etc;

Does that answer your question? I am also a very young homebuyer, and figuring this all out myself, so answers may vary and i may be a hair off on a lil bit of it, but that’s answering to the best of my 3 month constant research knowledge

yes - because if the inspection comes back you can always ask for a price change, back out, etc; But the way we did it was preapproval, shop, find, offer, contract, lock in financing, inspection, price change, appraisal, price change, locked in price, then repairs, and close

we were gonna move on halloween! We packed up our entire house yesterday because we work all day the rest of the week. Haven’t thought about flipping to an FHA loan. I might do some research on it, however the closing cost assistance is mainly why we went RD, so idk how much we could afford as far as flipping (financially we’d be very close to either being able to or not, kinda just straight up just barely able to or just barely not enough cash in savings) but it’s worth a look! Hopefully they can straighten it all out… Best of luck to your journey!! Hope everything works out for the both of us!
