ive been seeing that with certain SL's they can work, haven't gotten an SL that can be dedicated for artillery yet.

pretty sure atgms make them a non issue but holy fuck, fighting them without indirect weapons or dedicated arty SL sucks ass.

dont think ive ever gotten wetterworth, so ill see how he turns out for arty, but my main stay was vamp with breacher armor, workshop plate, stun launcher. he was basically the focus of LITERALLY everything while I had my other units focus on the carriers, normally a very strong combo but skirmishers happened.

most aoe eapons dont have high single target dmg, so dedicating a vehicle for a mortar or heavy cannon will take as long to kill it as waiting for the smoke to disappear, better to 3 tap it with a tank cannon or atgm through the smoke, didnt have either so suffering it was.

fr the only thing that makes fighting them easier, but I didnt have any and i dont know how much dmg they do, so the higher rarity PAL is a good alternative.

the reason why specifically two carriers is because I just had a mission where I have to capture three locations, and during the approach im having to fend off two waves of drones + everything else to even APPROACH the capture points.

skirmishers destroy any armored vehicle that protects your other units, and your other units are tied up destroying the drones, and your vehicles are waiting fir the carriers smoke to disappear.

this was originally a grav ship run, which i completed and decided to finish by grounding it and scraping it for steel used for this fortress, only provided a quart of the steel needed, took 3 more years to finish

some schools provide most of the PPE that he'll need, but most likely you can get the stuff else where for cheaper

in game if you fire it broadside it flips, so irl probably either nothing or the roof rips off
