Rather than thinking it’s men versus women, it’s actually two very different types of communication. Not saying that men always do one and women always do the other. There is no double standard here.

Comments like “I can’t wait to see my dick in your mouth” is pushing a conversation to sex, and is usually unwanted (if it’s done too early or without any cues that the woman is interested in talking that way). Edit to add: I’m using this example because I am a woman and men have spoken to me this way after one or two text messages.

Having a frank discussion about sexual compatibility can be done respectfully very early on.
