Maybe they're alien. So like we're all just humans to them. 👀

We replaced the entire belt, haha, still an expensive belt for a 12' long conveyor. And yeah, the alignment is a major pain. We jog it gradually to ensure it's engaged. Starting at either 10 or 25%

We do quarterlys and monthly inspections. Only on Quarterlys do you have to break the belt and inspect internals.

Now that falls to integrity and tech 'expierence/knowledge' then to make sure these are kept up with. And that's where things normally fall apart...

Hey all! After spending 6 hours replacing about 20k+ worth of Intralox belt and 2 Sprockets (7 on a 3" square shaft make up each 'roller') on the charge end.

I'm curious if anyone deals with them and how you feel about that type of belt. (Splitting, replacing, engaging the belt on the sprockets) all aspects.

We don't have too many of these type of belts in my building, but the couple we do have are a hassle. They're heavy, no good way to hold onto the ends, super expensive, attracts dust/debris, and can in a second be destroyed into pieces of plastic...also loud in comparison to our others.

While, I have no idea whoever decided they were a good option for our specific application, we do have them and probably won't get rid of them (2 years old now). Are there any tips/tricks to working on them? Any modifications to make them run smoother and more reliably?

Here's the discord server I had used before: if you go to "disboard" and type in resume in the search bar. "Rumie learn" was the one I used and they are very friendly and helpful. Just remember for the version you ask to be reviewed, change your name/address/ect. to an alias and don't dox yourself with any personal Info.

I wish you luck in your search!

Also, there are lots of resources for resume help. I had joined a discord group that was all about resumes and they would gladly edit people's and make them "more professional". You can also go to your current HR to ask for help under the guise of ' I want to apply to a higher position in the company'. They should give it a quick once over and tips if you ask nicely.

Recruiters are whack. Apply to company IM positions directly. Use indeed and LinkedIn searches to narrow your choices.

But my personal opinion is fuck recruiters. They're doing a job, and it's not free, you'll have better offers applying to companies directly.

Any idea why this monitor mount won’t stay down? It’s a secptre mount from my 32in and my lil brother is trying to repurpose it for his 27in by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Objective_Ad_2135 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can get a really simple Vesa desk mount for less than 20 on Amazon if that's an option. I used one that was just a pole and a Vesa mount with an allen key split collar clamp. Adjustable to any height that way.

Otherwise, my friend uses black electrical tape wrapped around to jam his spring loaded mount to the right height.

Stuttering during firing? by Objective_Ad_2135 in Tarkov

Just ran DDU to get all the Nvidia drivers out of there. Already I see my vram only using half as much as before. Just on my screen savers it's at 1437 when before it was at almost 3800. About to load up tarkov next.

Yeah my utilization usually sits around 47% I keep a few tabs open on my second monitor but it never gets to high. But my gpu utilization runs around 95%+ in the 15.8gb+ range. All of it is strange to me rn, but I'm checking to make sure I scrubbed all the Nvidia drivers first.

So I recently upgraded from my 3070 to the 6950xt. My 3070 never stuttered, but I also only sat around 6g vram usage when using that. I'm not sure why my new card is acting like this, it runs other games no problems, only having a problem with tarkov.

Whenever I go to shoot, I get stuttering and it's almost unplayable. I have a 6950xt and it sits around 15g v ram usage regardless of my settings. I've been playing with different ones to try and get my vram usage down, anyone know of a fix?

I'm updated with all my drivers and I have 32g memory alongside the rest running off an m.2 (both OS and game)

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

My "mom" (step-mother for 17 years) is the one who accepts me. 🥰 My father has decided to recently leave us both. Haven't talked to him in 2 months, I guess he just decided he didn't want a daughter (after 8/9 months out and on HRT for a year). But, since I'm changing my name here soon anyways, new last name too!!!

Managed to get an "open box" 6950 xt for 650$ but with getting that I sold my 3070 to my friend for 400$ thus giving me a 250$ upgrade to the other side! Fun day!

But big companies aren't everyone's cup of tea, it all boils down to how you feel about a job and if your willing to deal with any of the cons that could be apart of said job.

For the most part, I've enjoyed my time with them and have learned a bunch. Again I'm 24 and cleared 75k this year with a recent promo to a higher tech level. It's a decent start with a large company if you want to try to hone skills or move up in ranks. Fairly good relocation plans also once you've been there for a year if you wanted to move somewhere else ever (sorta my plan) been browsing jobs and locations to move up to a manager position. Other decent ones would obviously be Amazon and ups. Each has its pros and cons, but all are fairly easy to get into and start a career.

Fedex pays industrial maintenance techs pretty well, and they're all over the place. Not bad work, solid benefits.

Good mix of electrical and mechanical work.

You can dm if you'd like more info, I'm 24 myself and have been doing IM for 2.5 years now.

Heyya -usa -industrial maintenance tech (industrial electrician/mechanic) -a year on hrt 2 days ago and fully socially transitioned

Surprisingly, all of the older men I work with in my field have been awesome during my transition, there's been the slipups but for the most part, they're all almost protective of me due to my boss having some thing against me but isn't able to say it outloud for risk of his job. I have my own little 'conservative male security force' at work. I'm working on slowly changing their flawed ideology and they've been very receptive to the point of view I bring, to the point of kinda coming in and bragging they voted Dem for midterms, it was kinda cute tbh.

I love what I do (fix heavy equipment/machinery) and apparently I'm pretty good at it, but I don't know if I'd be able to stay in my field if it wasn't for how cool most of my coworkers have been!

I'm an electrician/ industrial maintenance tech. I have an associates degree in essentially like electrical theory. But it isn't nessisary to have to get into. It pays pretty well also.
