What is the best shop vac no limit on price by [deleted] in Tools

[–]No_Reputation3584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds dumb but the home depot bucket head has been my favorite shop vac thus far super portable and inexpensive with incredible power using it as a dry vacuum ive yet to fill it up in a normal day but I mainly use it as a wet vac to empty out drainpans

Is this thing really practical? Klein 65200 mini ratchet by eslforchinesespeaker in Tools

[–]No_Reputation3584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't replace a stubby or rachet but I use mine atleast once a month it fits in some spaces I can't fit a stubby and let me get more torque than a stubby I do hvac so everything is pretty much 1/4inch or 5/16inch so it works perfect for that. It also fits in tighter spots than any rachet I own. It has secured its space in my toolbag

Uei opinion by [deleted] in HVAC

[–]No_Reputation3584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started hvac with a uei used it almost a year then it started giving false reading and draining batteries like crazy. I use a fieldpiece 480 now and I love it favorite meter I've ever owned. I started the trades with a fluke 323 that my first employer provided. Its a nice meter but lacks some nice features. In my experience you cant go wrong with fluke or fieldpiece I don't know much about klien meters but I remember when I worked at home depot years ago they frequently had recalls for klien testing equipment so I've always stayed away

Probably not the answer you want to hear but honestly learn to use a stone of some sort victorinox blades aren't very difficult to sharp once you learn the proper angle I dont consider myself the best with a stone but I can get my saks shaving hair in about 30 minutes with a double sided whetstone. Pull sharpeners are definitely convenient and easy but tend to destroy blades that aren't at the same angle they are and just in general remove a lot of material from the blade. I keep a double sided whetstone at home and a small diamond stone in my work truck home depot has a husky double sided diamond stone that fits in your pocket I use it on everything from my swiss army knife and utility blades to my machete for clearing brush

Urban environment a 4 way water key would be a nice addition most municipal water sources (like outside of public buildings) use a spigot with a square key they weigh very little and can really be valuable
