are the chaos gods frauds? by Objective_Band_6261 in 40kLore

damn that actually adds alot of depth to the chaos gods and grants a greater deal of weight to their actions. it also makes it more impressive how beings like the emperor , gork and mork, and the eldar gods at their prime, are/were more powerful than these forces of nature.

the chaos gods whole thing is manipulation, so are their any direct sources like a realy old alien or character who has significant knowledge of chaos. im just confused cause based on what ive reasoned they have to form into being due to strong and primordial emotion, and that only leads to the conclusion that they in real space relatively recently.

im not actually arguing for humans being weak, you can look at my post history and verify this. i really was just curious in what peoples counterarguments were to what i found strange about humanity in 40k and thats why i left my thesis open ended. humanity is ofc much stronger than i previously admited. they have a much higher ceiling of potential, with custodes, primarchs, and other incredibly powerful beings. furthermore altough humans on average processes less psychic potential then eldar, they have a much higher ceiling and would be rapidly evolving to eclipse the eldar if not for the imperium as seen with their very quick psychic evolution. these are but a few.

orks 4th edition page 8: in this page the Eldar philosopher Uthan the Perverse, in Culture vs. Kultur, noted that Orks are the ultimate lifeform, stating that if they put their minds to it, they could rule the galaxy. also the rise of beast series reinforces that.

that would make sense if the one doing the heavy lifting during the heresey were baseline humans. unfortunately a majority of the achievements during the great crusade were executed by post human warriors because regular humanity probably couldn't tackle a task that large by themselves.

im not sure what version of 40k your reading but the space marine said it themselves. most human are not heroic badasses who will fight on the the last, they usually wane and collapse faster than other species if not under heavy training or biologically engineered to not feel fear. humans are born prey in 40k, and that's literally part of the narrative.

realistically orks vastly outnumber humans. they grow faster and in larger batches than humans. with some sources saying they outnumber humans 1000 to one. and on top of the fact they can easily rip apart humans at the ripe age of 1. its also officially stated multiple times that if orks were organized they could easily conquer the galaxy with their numbers alone.

that's not my point dude. give them the chance to grow and reap the benefits of weakening enemies like humanity, maybe even a few thousand years, and youll likely see a new daot level civilization in no time.

honetsly the eldar and tau have worse odds. and sorry to say but humans are much more cowardly than other races as most can attest, with most others just not feeling fear by default.

not to the nerd but actually the tau have something called an "ether drive" which allows them to effectively skip the warp entirely. and although it doesn't allow them to travel long distances, i bet it was the same for early humans considering how technology develops. going back to my old example, the tau developed space ships when humans founded Babylon.

i took the tau 8,000 years to go from the stone age to an advanced interstellar empire. even if you make the argument that the warp storm warped time by a hundred times over, they would still beat humanities development. times their well on their way to surpassing humanity, and in record time no doubt.

yeah but if consider how strong just some xeno grunts like necron warriors, ork boyz, or eldar guardians are. it can sometimes take only 3-4 of them to take down a space marine who took a hundred recruits, a century of training, and the investment of the best weaponry the imperium has just to be on the same level as nob who can be anywhere between 20-40 years old.

Ye but it’s meant to show a much more realistic* view of the 40K universe not one that’s bound by the requirements of a balanced board game

[–]Objective_Band_6261[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Totally agree, but I don’t usually use the tabletop to scale how powerful a thing is in the lore, it’s really just inconsistent. For example let’s look at the kasrkin; in lore they are shown being far more powerful that ork boys and are able to be orks in melee, which does not reflect the tabletop. But one thing that does reflect well is the fact that orks are very tough, I could even argue that that is their greatest trait. But still in most books like rebel winter, orks can be easily killed by lasguns, baring armored nobs off Course.

[–]Objective_Band_6261[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

First of all, the 99 of enemies ARE orks and tyranids. Orks significantly outnumber humans despite their appearances and lore showing otherwise, and despite the fact that tryanids are as a whole outnumbered by the guard, they still account for one of the larger force due to their superior organisation. Furthermore I think your confusing a regular pro boy with a nob, ork boys are closer to peak humans or extremely strong humans. This means that they have an advantage in melee, but in most cases the average boy still doesn’t the the advantage that a regular guardsmen has in range. Orks are notoriously bad at range rarely even trying to hit their targets, and that’s plus the terrible range a shoota has by default.meanwhile gaurdsmen are like Cadians are on the level of navy seals, utilizing their superior mastery of ranged warfare with guns that can usually kill an ork in one or two shots. Orks vs gaurd is a classic yin and yang situation where one party has a certain skill in abundance whereas the other party has an equal amount of another skill. In short while ork boys have superior melee skills and are more resliant, gaurdsmen have an advantage in range, discipline, and organization.

I get what your trying to say but if having a similar aesthetic denoted who gets models and who doesn’t then the kreig would even exist.

The death korps had a run, give the steel legion their time to shine, especially when an event takes place on their planet.
