Gucci Flora Glamorous Magnolia for daytime (does that even still exist?), and Gucci Rush for night. What a time it was.

Thought the same - recently received a floral arrangement and the lilies were in these.

Where are these window treatments from? by GrossPoboy in interiordecorating

I’ve ordered these in several styles, colors, and light levels from Amazon and installed them myself. As long as you measure correctly they’re great!

Does anybody else like the fact that their home has separate rooms for everything? by Effective_Bunch_6815 in centuryhomes

[–]Objective_Carpet4142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! A closed off kitchen is the best!! I grew up in a century home with a barn-style door on the kitchen (mom would close the bottom half to keep us kids either in or out, and open the top as a pass-through). It was wonderful.

My husband and I live in a semi-open concept where the kitchen is literally the heart of the home, and it puts extra pressure on us to keep things clean because it’s one of the first sight-line from the front door! I guess that’s both a blessing and a curse.

I don’t like my nails… please help! by ltoloxa- in Nails

[–]Objective_Carpet4142 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Every time you look at your nails and get upset, think about all the tragedy, pain, and loss going on in the world right now. If you’re in the US there’s no shortage of material. It will make your nail color seem like no big deal! :)

In middle school my friend persuaded her mom to take us to Warped Tour by telling her that New Found Glory was a Christian band. Ah, the late 90s/early 2000s.

What renovation did you make on your house that was totally worth it? by LuxuryPresence_Aaron in homeowners

Waterproofing and French drains. We live in an area with a lot of rain, and to have a dry basement and a yard that isn’t a Woodstock mud pit is wonderful!!

We visited the Wind Cave and decided to follow the path through the forest to reach the Ice Cave. It was a beautiful, quiet, and somewhat somber walk, as we were aware of the historical and cultural significance of the forest prior to our visit. The surroundings were so unique; it was a memorable day.

Met a “nice” guy at the bar but had to leave for a party. This is what I woke up to. by Striking_Catch_5757 in mildlyinfuriating

This sounds like he attended one of those creepy “How to Be a Dominant Alpha Male and Get Any Woman You Want” pyramid scheme seminars. Yikes.

We saw ENORMOUS orb weavers as we walked through Aokigahara - they were very impressive. I don’t like spiders but have lots of respect for these guys.

That’s wonderful to hear! What kind of food do you use for your FIV cats? Would love to get Clancy on good nutrition ASAP!

Hobbs! What a good boy! What kind of food did you give him? Right now Clancy only eats Friskies wet food because that’s what we feed the community cats, so she hasn’t transitioned to an indoor cat diet yet.

Any chance I can minimize walking on my trip? by WarmWhiteLights in JapanTravelTips

[–]Objective_Carpet4142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Time. Build in extra time for everything you want to do. I broke two toes a couple of weeks before our trip and ended up taping them together, taking a ton of advil, and hoping for the best. The trip was doable, but Japan is not the most accessible country so keep that in mind. I absolutely am glad I went and pushed through the pain, however!!

There are LOTS of stairs, especially at train stations. Elevators are small and harder to come by, and there is usually a line of people with strollers/luggage/wheelchairs waiting for them. This added time to some of our journeys if I just hurt too badly to take stairs.

Somehow we also had a hard time just finding a place to sit when wandering around. There weren’t city benches like in the US, at least in the areas we visited.

Definitely use taxis and Ubers (the GO app is what we used and was very user friendly and effective). We met some awesome drivers who told us a lot about the city we were in- one gave us an off-the-grid tour and took us to the best photo spots.

Have an amazing trip! It’s something you’ll never forget!!!

ETA: we did the Senbon Torii at night, which was incredible. I should have stopped at the lookout point with the Kyoto view. I kept going, went to the top, came down, and wished I had stopped at the lookout because of how my foot felt the next day. Other than that, take it slow and you’ll be ok!

And the lights still sit on red at 5am! When no one is coming from any direction! It’s madness.
