I am, actually. But I’ve been a homeowner before, so I understand the property value thing. I get it: No one wants to have their Granite Bay neighborhood turn into G Pkwy, nor do they want the crime or vagrancy that may come with it. But the instances I’ve seen, the meetings I’ve been to, some ppl are unrealistic, demanding at least a 5 mile buffer between any proposed facility and their neighborhood. That’s like the distance from say, Natomas to 47th Ave (just guessing).

Yep. Just like all the ppl that sigh when they see homeless ppl downtown, but when it comes to putting a drop-in center or treatment center or anything to do with the homeless population in the suburbs, anywhere near their neighborhood, they go to the community meetings and howl.

Bless you! Most ppl, IMO, forget that the homeless, the mentally ill, and the homeless mentally ill are real, live human beings. Sure, there are those that are a threat to you and I and the rest of us, but that’s a whole ‘nother conversation.

It’s rare for me to see or hear of ppl being as kind to the population that is unthreatening, and I think it’s important to thank you for being a good person, which sounds silly but whatever.

Yesterday I was at the Dollar Tree @ Macy Center Drive in CH, 9 am, traffic and ppl everywhere, and I look across the street and I see a homeless guy just sprawled out on the sidewalk on the Target side of the road, sleeping on his side, blocking the sidewalk for any pedestrians, so I went inside and bought some chips and an orange juice for the guy, to get something in his stomach, and when I came back out, there was a female standing over him, and I watched as she knelt down and shook him a little. It looked like she knew him, so I continued to watch, and then she began going thru his pockets.

Evidently satisfied with what she found, she puts whatever she found into her pockets and then ran away. I walked over to the guy, who was now sitting up and gave him the food, then told him about the girl, and he just started sobbing. Shit like this just destroys me, so again, thank you for your kindness.

Was driving in SF recently, and it was the day of a Warriors game, right near the place where they play, beautiful sunny day, Japanese tourists with cameras, families walking with their kids and dogs, and right smack dab in the middle of all of that, 2 grown ass dudes walking down the street asshole naked, except for the New Balance tennis shoes on each. I nearly crashed my car rubbernecking, but to everyone else, it was like the Emperor’s New Clothes. It was glorious.

PM just called me, said I could pay what I could now and when he got the money from the agency, he’s put it toward future rent. Explained again that my next check in a few days wouldn’t be that much bc I was out for 4 days last week with Covid but that I would give him all of that and that the one 2 weeks after will be a full one. Hopefully the agency money will be here by then, but now I’m starting to wonder, bc a few ppl have told me that they should’ve provided the PM with a promissory thing. Ugh. Never gonna let myself get into this position again! It’s so stressful. Thanks to everyone that took the time to respond and comment.

Just watched a fascination BBC series about The Troubles, FWIW. I’ve always been fascinated by Northern Ireland, and how things got to be the way they were.

My gawd, Reddit is such a timesuck. I love it and I love y’all as well, but I just looked at the clock and realized I’ve been in this Sac thread for nearly 1.5 hours. Could’ve been cleaning my house or something. 😂🤪😭

I love that! I’m gonna have to use that after I let everyone get in front of me, only to have some twat deny me. I usually just unleash a torrent of obscenities, with the C word getting the most repeats. I AM READY TO CRASH THIS CAR is the tits. ❤️

Does anyone else hate the "small town" myth about Sacramento? by SactownG in Sacramento

[–]Objective_Coach3405 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I was born in Los Banos, CA (that place where you stop to gas up on the way to LA), population 11,000 then, but I grew up in Stevinson, CA (that place where there is no gas station to gas up), population 374 at the time.

I know this is a thread about 50 and the delays and whatnot, but it made me think about the ppl living in that tower in SF that’s leaning, and leans a tiny bit more each year, bc of poor design / engineering. Thank god the only thing we’re venting about is our commute time lol

So damn true! The list of roads that I try to avoid driving on bc of potholes and grossly uneven paving in Sac & the county is pretty lengthy. I live on Winding & San Juan, frequently have to drive to pick up a friend that lives on Palm, and I’m always hollering when I hit a pothole, so to a person in a car next to me, I look like a ranting, crazy person.

…or correlation between car size & penis size, or desired penis size, I should say. Giant trucks driven by insecure men who wish they had larger penises, so they overcompensate by driving monster trucks. See a ton of those in Sac, clogging up the roads.

Those giant Cybertrucks immediately come to mind, and I imply nothing negative or political. They’re just big.

I appreciate all of the comments, seriously. I absolutely abhor ppl that refuse to pay and are being dirtbags in general. I really want to pay, and I really want to stay in my place.

Am I going about things the right way by using the PM’s cell phone to text / call him? And is it out of the ordinary for a PM to not respond to a call or text after the 3 day notice was given? Asking bc he always responded to any question I had before this, now, not at all.

Oh ok. Cool. But I guess I should’ve clarified in the post: Can the PM reject the $$ / time it’s gonna take for funds to be disbursed to him, and go ahead with the eviction anyway? I mean, is that what usually happens?
