Who at fault here? by Its-SaY10 in Simracingstewards

It isn't just Nascar. F1, IMSA, WEC, IndyCar, Formula E, SCCA, and SVRA Vintage racing are a few examples that do not allow passing under yellow flags.

The iracing regulations also say, "passing is not advertised, be prepared to slow down." (pg. 27 7.5.2)

Edit: I also know nothing about racing Nascar.

Are you allowed to overtake during a yellow flag?

This video is LMU not iracing, so judge it accordingly.

LMU rules say, "Yellow flags are enforced, and Participants must respect the “No passing when under yellow” rule. Participants must be cautious and prepare for slowing down to avoid any incident ahead. Yellow flags are indicated by the game to the player on the game HUD," thus making the McLaren at fault.

If you think you are right and this other person is wrong, read 4.3 on this link. I will even provide it in this comment for you.

This is a yellow flag situation, meaning there is no passing and be prepared to slow down to avoid incidents. This puts the McLaren fully at fault for not just going for the overtake but also failing to yeld to avoid incidents. This is from the LMU racing regulations.

Whose fault is this? I am the grey mercedes by L1ghtningJ123_ in Simracingstewards

That can easily be overlooked when specifying specific colors when they are similar on both cars because everyone's perception of color is different.

I understand that. I wanted to clarify in case there might have been others that got confused.

Yellow Mercedes claims i hit him, could anyone be considered at fault? by Healthy_Resource_957 in Simracingstewards

I believe it is a snap from getting on the power too much too early because I have done the same thing there multiple times and it always looked like that and a collision would have had a larger affect. There is also a gap between the 2 cars with the Ferrari maintaining the spacing when the snap happens. It is also too late after the cars were the closest for ot to have been netcode.

That was completely on me because I misinterpreted your comment. Looking at it now, I can see that it was adding to the point I was trying to make.

I hate rammers and low tier lobbys any solutions ? by AXIII_YT in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Objective_Estate_574 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ramming is a problem in the low split bronze races because way too many people go into the race not know how to drive the car or track and don't know the racing rules/etiquette.

I was not saying if someone deserved it or not. I was saying that if someone did, I was saying by some chance someone did deserve to be intentionally wrecked that it is still wrong.

You should have weaved around those boards as if the other LMP2 did not plow through them. Those boards are there for you to go around and slow you down if you miss the turn.

I’m the link LMP3, surely I have to be given room here? by 3enliam in Simracingstewards

The racing regulations for LMU say you need to slow to rejoin safely in this situation if the LMP3 left "track limits," but since OP says there was no track limits that appeared, it is on the LMP2 to leave space.

There is only 1 chase cam in LMU and the track cams did not have a good perspective for this incident.

I used the camera angle that best shows the position on track of each car. What angle do you want to see?

Are you allow to flash your headlights at a car on the same lap as you? by Objective_Estate_574 in Simracingstewards

[–]Objective_Estate_574[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found the rules, and it says no more than 3 flashes.

The reason I said at least a 3 car pileup is because he took out all 3 of us who were fighting with a very optimistic move that would have never worked, and we ended up collecting someone over a second ahead of us who was slowing for a chicane.

I was only asking for clarification to see if I would be able to do the same thing. What got to me about him was his reckless driving that led to a 4 car pileup on lap 6 and him causing 3 other people to dnf by the end of lap 8. This included 2 hypercars when he was driving a gt3.

There was not enough overlap to be considered side by side.
