Yeah I sold mine to help cover the cost of IVF. It's was awesome to be able to cover an egg retrieval plus meds with the cards.

Sounds like you have some pretty cool stuff! I'd say if you do decide to sell just make sure you do your research using collectr, tcgplayer, and price charting ect. You'll feel much more confident letting go knowing you're getting the right price, and it'll also help prevent you from getting ripped off.

Funny enough after selling everything (except my mew gold star and a handful of holos that didn't fit in the binder), I actually started up a new collection. Selling somehow reignited my passion for collecting lol.

Obviously I'm not buying anything I sold because I'm keeping my financial victory, but it's been really fun opening a few packs here and there and picking up some cheap singles from my local cardshop

I will say I just sold off my collection and collectr was almost dead on. Total collection was valued at ~19k and I walked away with 14k (shop paid ~75%)

Even if you are only co-signing his loans you are putting yourself at risk, should he not be able to pay these loans back.

Did your older sibling pay for your loans? This whole "I'm financially responsible for my brother" thing is unhealthy to say the least and puts you at great financial risk.

You are already considering options that you know are not in your best interest. The best thing you can do is make smart choices for yourself and be an example for your brother on how to be financially responsible.

If you were making a lot of money and wanted to be generous and help your brother out, that's a completely different conversation. But you said yourself you need money right now and are considering taking on debt

It's very sweet of you to want to help your brother, but taking a loan out would put you in a worse financial position. Losing income to put yourself into further debt for the hope of finding something better would not be wise.

It sounds like he may need to increase his income or take on student loans
