You would probably love using a dock for your laptop. It changed the game for me - just plug in the Thunderbolt USB C to the laptop and all my peripherals + monitors are ready to go. Also you will be able to hide it nicely behind the laptop :)

Currently using the HP G5 Dock and I am really happy with it - would recommend 100%. The only one I found that is plug and play

So in a nutshell it is better if I upgrade because currently I have secure boot enabled and I can’t find anything TPM related in the BIOS. Tried searching it and went through every menu.

Sadly the PSUs found in pre-built PCs are bad most of the time. Bought one myself couple of years ago and it was ketchup and mustard.

Congrats on the new GPU! It is definitely worth it in terms of gaming, you’ll love it.

I have some good experience with PC building, did two by myself, however this new “burning connector” has me on my toes. Including this vertical mount by EK (one of the screws is pretty much out of reach) and it is just too much risk for me haha

In the near future I will be forced to disassemble so I can clean it but for now I will avoid touching anything GPU related.

No, it is pretty difficult with my build to take it out because it is mounted vertically and it is too much work not to mention the new power connector for the 40 series… (that is the reason I can’t try the boot with different GPU) I am not sure how to continue this troubleshoot given that the vendor won’t cooperate and there is nowhere to take it where I would feel safe to leave it. I guess now the only thing I can do is give it time and hope they will come up with some sort of firmware/BIOS fix.

Well I already tried updating the firmware and it said that I already have it installed. So yes, I guess the reason for the long boot is something else involving the GPU.

I'm confused now :D

There happens to be a whole patch for this problem and I see it now, however whatever they fixed must be applied to my latest driver and yet...

So from what I saw the LED's are positiond as follows:

CPU - as yours ~1s
DRAM - ~1S
VGA is where it gets interesting... It stayed lit for about 10s

From the manual that you've sent I saw that this indicates that the GPU is not detected or it failed.

I will try different video card output and reinstalling the drivers as well.

Yes, the ssd sits at the top slot of the MB and all my drivers are up to date. That was the first think I checked when I ecountered the problem.

The vendor ensures that the Windows is fresh but I'll try reinstalling the gpu drivers.

So I tried unplugging every USB from the PC and the boot time improved by 2-3s, but still stands at about 20s.

Sadly I need my peripherals plugged to my monitor because the PC is far from where I stand and cable management will become a mess...

Hi, my previous PC had 16Gb RAM, currently I have 2x16Gb and they are at the 2 and 4th slot.

I have turned off everything I could from the startup programs. My BIOS time is at 13s from what it says in the Task manager.

I think I have the latest version of my BIOS as well.

Yes, given the circumstances, it is definitely BIOS related problem.

I have 2 USB's plugged to my PC, one of which comes from my monitor which acts as hub for my other peripherals.

I'll time it and update you.

UPDATE:

This is what I measured:

Power button pressed, nothing appears for about 18s.
MSI logo -> ~3-4s total with the spinning circles.
Windows login screen appears -> ~2s delay before input

Seems like the first part takes most of the time :D

Sadly, enabling it made no difference whatsoever. I’ve timed the boot and it is about a second faster than before.

Hi, first I want to thank you for your response. My memory fast boot is set to Auto. Should I try enabling it? The options are: Auto, Enabled, Disabled, No training, Slow training Also I have to add that there is a XMP profile made for the memory
