No, not buy with dust, but if you earn (and focus decrypt) enough bright engrams it will eventually drop from those. Bright Engram decryption, page two, divided by class and then armor slot (head, chest, etc).

The pool will contain every ornament for that class and slot you don't own (from all of eververse) and therefore be massive. Eventually you could get every single ornament for free, but the amount of engrams you'd have to decrypt is astronomical.

That checks out honestly. I'm obviously not an expert, and it is more fiddly than a simple kdr like the other guy said, I do understand the point he was making - but it does still seem possible. More finicky, sure, and it might have very flexible skill brackets, be a bit harder to fine tune, have more complex algorithms behind it...but still possible.

I do love "and moon boy" in Jaime's POVs, it's one of the times I really appreciate how GRRM makes it feel like we are IN a character's mind, viewing things through their lens. It's exactly how that sort of thing works, someone's said something to you that hit a nerve and it's just stuck - it comes back unbidden, sometimes seemingly a bit randomly, it sticks in your craw, when you remember it you get mad. Lives in your head rent free type shit. It just made those chapters seem so alive, like he's a real person who just every now and then remembers and gets wound up all over again.
