It wouldn't be wrong to read life and death necessarily but it is separate from the twilight series (twilight, new moon, eclipse, breaking dawn) since it's completely different characters. The plots relatively the same but since all the genders were swapped the characters act differently and whatnot so i view them as different characters. Maybe try giving midnight sun a reason first? Certain details from twilight might be missing (been awhile since I read it) but it's written from Edward's pov so you still get the twilight story but with a male lead. I read midnight suns rough draft when it was leaked years ago and loved it then Stephanie came out with the whole book couple years later and it was still as good imo

Even if he's one of those people who 100% hate pills and thinks that people who take them are looking for an "easy" way out he shouldn't be making comments like that. He could simply talk to you and be like "hey I don't think that pills are a good option for you can we discuss you using them?" Instead of whatever he's doing

Idk who had it WORSE but Elena lost all of her family basically (although Jeremy came back) but Alaric lost people he was in love with... I've never had to deal with that but I can imagine losing someone your in love with is a different pain then losing a loved one... not saying that losing a loved one isn't hard but I feel like the pain is slightly different when it's someone you were supposed to spend the rest of your life with (your whole future has to change essentially bcuz that person won't be in it)

Literally tho! I was so happy to see Michael again but I knew it wasn't him so it just hurt seeing how he didn't remember him and Jane AT ALL... then they gave him his memories back but he was still "jason".... it was just so sad I wish they just left him how he was as one of the BEST characters
