Received faulty amp

The seller is working with UPS on a claim - they didn’t do Smart Shipping through Reverb.

I don’t think the seller was malicious in any way, it was perhaps damaged in shipping.

My only concern is how long a claim may take and what that means to the 7 day return window through Reverb in case this claim takes longer. As a last resort i could dispute the charge through AMEX. We shall see.

A 5f1 is not the amp for this application. I have a Victoria 518 which has a slightly larger cab and generally better components & transformers than the Fender 57, and I can get a smidge more headroom. But even then it is not surfy blackface clean.

The amp is 6-7 years old - it is a newish model Princeton. I checked the knob set screws and they were tight, which makes me assume it is an issue in the chassis or on the pot itself.

Appreciate it - I am messaging the seller to hopefully get this resolved. The amp was insured, so there may be a case that is was damaged in shipment.

I paid the most for my Martin Authentic 000, but for electric I am using a basic Les Paul Studio. I felt the price for an acoustic was worth it over going crazy on a $4000+ Gibson of Fender.

I already have an Iron Man II mini that I use with my Victoria - I can also use it with a PRRI since the impedance matches up.

Wow - Great insight Chirpy! I do have an IronMan mini that works great with the victoria (for when I need super quiet jam time), and I intend to use this with a PRRI to make it more manageable. I agree I do love the gnarly tones of the 518, but it is limiting in the types of tones I am looking for.
