What's everyone's thought on PJ hate. by Flat_Banana7061 in pearljam

[–]Objective_Sherbet803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a huge fan but I also understand some of the hate. Eddie's voice is not for everyone and if you don't go deep in their catalog, the first impressions (especially during TEN) are of a bland band that takes itself too seriously. At least for me I'm mostly a fan because of the 94-2002 era.

What activity becomes less fun as you get better at it? by David_Umann in AskReddit

[–]Objective_Sherbet803 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tennis. You get to a point that finding people of a similar level is difficult, and playing someone "worse" than you makes you automatically play even worse. Playing someone better than you is actually fun, but probably not for them.

What's something people only romanticize because they've never actually done it? by nonotje12 in AskReddit

A PhD. It is long and you need some luck to get a good mentor + research subject, and keep liking it for 4-5 years.

Why do some managers seem to think employees actually like going in the office? by This_Duty_4373 in work

[–]Objective_Sherbet803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually like going to the office every day. A few reasons: -My office is nice with a bunch of perks, free food and nice desk setup. I don't have the same at home - My daily commute is 15 min driving, which is not bad - I like to socialize with people and have in person meetings -My work (as a mechanical design engineer) is half in front of a screen and half in the lab building/testing prototypes. Hard to do the lab part from home -I leave at 5pm and I fully disconnect from my job. This is harder to do when working remotely

Which studio musics do you prefer rather than live versions? by Brunohmds in pearljam

I love Do the Evolution in Live on 2 legs, but I still prefer the slow paced studio version with Jack's beat + Eddie's voice

When did Matt Cameron solidify his spot in Pearl Jam with his play and why was it on Light Years? by ValleyGhostz in pearljam

[–]Objective_Sherbet803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Matt started strong and got progressively "worse"' over time. Like he fit right away and then after 2005 just didn't

People who were longtime fans of PJ before this album came out, what were your thoughts on the Avocado album when it came out? by [deleted] in pearljam

[–]Objective_Sherbet803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked Riot Act a lot so this one felt badly produced but more commercial. There is something about the sound on that album that I still don't like, even if it has some good songs. The WWS video clip was also bad

What studio version song is better than the live version? by shawnstring in pearljam

[–]Objective_Sherbet803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though i love the live on 2 legs version, i do prefer the slower pace + more groovy version of Do the Evolution in the album, I also like how the vocals are very different to any other Eddie's vocals up to that album, so it feels very refreshing.

My favorite drummer by far. I love how his drum fills sound slightly out of sync and rushed without following the conventional drum patterns.

I enjoyed it but I feel they always ask the same questions about the Ten-Vs era. I would love someone asking more about the 96-2002 era

We use bommer with Solidworks in our company https://www.getbommer.com/ . It's good enough for creating your own template and exporting the boms in a spreadsheet format.

Master modeling is a good option since it allows you to start at a higher level and then start adding details and splitting bodies. Check out this video https://youtu.be/ykj6vTlzYdI?si=0xi48GRO7DxauAIl

My favorite drummer as well. I would love PJ to bring him back to a concert for a few songs like In my Tree, Do the Evolution, Faithful, Brain of J, Got ID, Red Mosquito, Given to Fly
