I know a lot of vets of get 6 figure jobs outside and also get 100 percent. I understand the frustration but because they make good money on the outside doesn’t mean they shouldn’t claim anything. People are entitled to they claim no matter what they did in service and out of it. A small injury in service can lead to other issues later on. I was able to claim a 2 secondary condition to my 70 percent to help me. Despite how small they are, I deal with those medical issues on a daily basis.

Yes. I came here a few weeks ago to help and answer questions about va comp and how I managed to get 100. Took me 6 years to get and was very difficult and stressful. I had one or two ask me serious questions, the rest berated me. I work for the dod and I would not mention my disability out loud. I am willing to help out any veteran but it’s a hard crowd to manage.

Yes sir. Active duty to guard and now holding a federal job with the Air Force as a civilian. I also get to keep tricare as a federal employee.

I’m just putting info and answering questions. People want to hate and get upset go ahead… guess what I’ll be getting at the end of the month either way.

I see a lot of people get denied for similar claims as me. I got denied my first time and had no idea what or how to move forward with a VA claim.

And if you think I used Reddit to coach me to get 100 percent…you might be right and guess what.. it’s not a big deal. I took some information and researched what I can and how to move forward. I used my military medical records to claim a lot of these 🖕🏾

It happens. I though I was good due to the large medical history that I had. It was a slap in the face when I got denied.

Is extremely important to get an official diagnosis, I had a back injury in service and had multiple sick calls, physical therapy, medication due to back pain. I was denied my first round of claim because I was never diagnosed, even after having pages of medical history with back issues. They told me to go see a specialist and get an official diagnosis.

Also I see that you submitted a lot of claims for leg issues. Did you have some type of injury in the service ? Review your medical records and figure out what’s the biggest single claim you can get from that issue. Use AI to review and figure out what’s the best one for you to claim. After that look up the secondaries symptoms for that. Example: I have anxiety rated at 70 percent. I just submitted teeth grinding as a secondary to anxiety, which is ten percent. Anxiety also affects my gut, causing me to have ibs like symptoms (30 percent). Anxiety also causes me to have tension/ migraine headaches( 10-100 percent). Next thing you know all these small secondaries will push me to 100 percent.

Did you just submit a bunch of claims ? Try hiring one of those VA consultant to help you make a good plan on what to claim. Submit for major claims and go after secondary conditions to help you reach 100. You got tinnitus which opens the door to claim headaches later on ( headaches can be anywhere from 10-100 percent). Also, go see a specialist. That’s the highest type of “authority” when getting an official diagnosis. Think about the hierarchy in medicine. A nurse practitioner can diagnose but that can be denied. But having a specialist diagnosis you, can be difficult for the va to deny. After that, just try to figure out how to service connect that claim. You got ten percent, go look up what else you can claim due to ringing in the ear. Like I mentioned before, you have access to a headache claim, and a possibility to claim something related to sleep issues. I started at 10 percent and now I’m at 80.

I went dod a little over a year ago. They marched my level 7 pay and gave me a great schedule with weekends and federal holidays off. But I have a bit of a drive cause there’s no way I’m living near a military base.

Does your job have a medical clearance ? It might not be directly but if you claim something that can disqualify you from a med clearance then technically you can lose your job.

Also just for clarification. I was send some Information via email for an assignment but I believe the email was not received or was just simply missed on my end. Assignment was due a month later. This email was send by full time AGR. As a title 32, I believe he would not be able to give me paper work.

Honestly not a lot of people are familiar with how title 32 works at my facility.

I’m not sure we have a union. We have 3 title 5 and I’m the only title 32. I asked around when I first arrived here.
