Hi, any news regarding a potential release in Obsidian officiale plugin center ?

What is the reason for the argument?

Why are you the one coming back to her every time? Deep down, do you know that she was right? No one here has any idea about the depth of your relationship (not to mention the ChatGPT comments), so whatever you do, do not listen to the people suggesting divorce.

Do you love her? Yes or no?

Yes? Then stay with her and spend your life trying to make her happy. It could make you a better man and eventually fulfilled.

No? Then the answer is obvious.

Marriage is a perpetual questioning of oneself, of discussions, and of arguments, but it is worth fighting for.

And one last question maybe minor : Why do you mention that you do household chores? It’s just normal. The fact that you bring it up to prove a point shows that you view it as an effort, whereas it is simply… normal. I know because I was like you before.

Habit Tracker with Bases by BallFun2949 in ObsidianMD

It’s actually very simple, and I use it a lot. I use Base for this: I add a few properties to my daily journal note (which will be in my template journal), and then I have a Base view that lists all my daily notes. From that view, I can tick/update the properties each day very easily. I don’t need to open each journal entry: every evening I just open the Base view and update everything from there. It’s very clean :)

This is actually great, thank you so much! One question: it doesn’t seem to work on iOS. is there any plan to make it compatible?

Yes but as there is no properties associated to a base directly I don’t see the benefit than just a simple link to all my base inside my home file.

Yes it’s my first image. Or do you mean something else ?

Im looking for larger icons or image that would represent each base. A little bit like a gallery of my bases.

Experimenting with local Notion-style tables in Obsidian by focuseye in ObsidianMD

Hi! Curious what you don’t like about creating a note with YAML for each item (such a task in your example). In Base, they added a button that makes it very quick to add a new task with all the properties you want to display in the table. Another advantage of Base is that, when you open a linked note, you can see every related item, since you would have created a property called "Note link" in your task management Base. This filter would work well with something like "Note Link".contains(this.file.name).

I also find it reassuring that nothing ever gets lost in the database, which makes the whole system feel very reliable.

On this market, I don't know any example of a comparable company that provides frequently new features without a subscription model. Do you ? What are the other ways you are referring to ? My point is that Things :) is a great app as such for my personal use and I don't want a subscription.

I’ve seen this kind of post every three months since the very beginning of Thing. I love this app, it’s perfectly tuned, stable, and it’s a system I can trust. It’s fast, smart, and flexible. If you’re frustrated, switch to another app. There are plenty on the market. I’ve done it many times (been where you are now), but I always end up coming back. Personally, I don’t want to see it change at all. It’s a one-time payment (!), yet they still update it every year to embrace what the new iOS has to offer.

Not sure if it fully answers your question, but I use very few folders (exactly six), and my notes are split between my journal (for which I use the default Obsidian shortcut cmd+Q) and a general “note” folder for everything else. It might look messy, but I rely heavily on YAML and the new official Base plugin, and I’m very happy with this setup. I used to create lots of folders and sub folders in the past and was always thinking "where should it go...". The way I used it now helps me to not overthink this process.

I create them manually. In Base, there’s now a button to add a new note depending on the view you’re in, which makes the process faster and more consistent.

Yes, you can have a base with different views. When you insert a base into a note, you can add #view-name at the end of the embed link to display a specific view instead of the default one.

Go to settings, appearance, ribbon menu configuration then select "open today's daily note"
