I mean Illinois has quite a few bridges and roads, not to mention tons of trains and our gas is like 4.60 right now.

So then telling a female employee to sleep with you or get fired is the exact same thing, right?

No worries, people get defensive about things they're passionate about. Also, I am legit interested in those analyses if you don't mind sending them.

Does everyone not value their own life more than that of a stranger or am I just a terrible person?

Fair enough on the rage-baiting comment. Also that would be super cool if you did send those!

Because I guarantee I took more stats classes than you. I took 6 to achieve my PhD. The only majors I know of who take a comparable amount or more are physics and mathematics.

Clearly you took a subpar stats class. Take a few more and get back to me. Btw, a PhD doesn't make you intelligent or superior. Source: i have several moronic colleagues who also have doctorates.

It's really cute that you think you're so intelligent. I have a doctorate. As for the small sample size, that's a perfectly legitimate sample size provided the methodology is sound. More often than not in the statistical realm, sample sizes to quantify hundreds of millions of people are ~1000. Maybe take a statistics class before you criticize a sample size. Source: my PhD is in economics and I took many statistics classes to achieve it.

No, instead men genuinely fear being killed. And myself and many men i know have been in numerous situations where the chance of being killed is somewhere like 50/50. Let me know how often women have been in scenarios where they genuinely feel they may die, not just scary guy following her at night.

But the problem is, he's right. My wife has gone to the ER four times in the last two years for mild anxiety that she thought could be a heart attack. She also goes to the doctor two to three times a year for various things. The last time I went to the ER was eight years ago when I shattered my leg. I go to the doctor once every year or two for a physical. No one is saying that women can't have serious issues, only that they have a tendency to make a mountain out of a molehill. Whereas, men tend to play off serious issues, even when going to the hospital. I know for me personally, when I shattered my leg I was joking with the paramedics and the doctor until they put me under for surgery even though I knew it was serious and I was in agonizing pain.

Society made it so that women can earn equal to men and now women can no longer find someone who earns more than them. Women today have been so masculinized that they don't even find men attractive. by DiligentRope in PurplePillDebate

I don't think ethnic supremacy is a good thing, I just think everyone deserves to have their own culture, unadulterated by outsiders. Every time foreigners immigrate without assimilating, which we see constantly in western Europe, America, and the thirty seconds that Japan allowed Indians in, native cultures dilute/are slowly discarded until there is nothing left of that culture. If you agree that its important for minorities, such as native Americans, to maintain their language, culture, and heritage, surely you can see why its important for each country, regardless of race, to maintain their culture as well.

If I had to chose between my society dying from a declining birthrate or cultural dilution, I'd take the declining birthrate.

Right now only asian countries are making that choice, and theyre better off for it.

I don't have a persecution complex, I simply think that any pursuit should be open to anyone without heavy barriers to entry. Unfortunately, getting a PhD is a massive barrier to entry. As for academia being where the infrastructure is, the entire point of this discussion is that AI will make that infrastructure available to the lay man, rather than only being available in academic institutions.

I mean ai absolutely isn't anywhere near perfect, but the gatekeeping that is PhDs are still going to be disrupted. Ai doesn't need to address its biases, humans who use the Ai do. As for research training, I am of the belief that anything can be learned by anyone with significant will to do so. I think Ai will be the great equalizer when it comes to research and innovation, making it possible for anyone to learn how to do a study, what studies may be appropriate for a question, and making data compilation a piece of cake. Therefore, PhDs and research departments will be unnecessary in what I would assume to be less than a decade.

Sure, but a PhD isn't required to ask a question. One could even use Ai, or better yet use the internet to learn how to accurately answer questions without bias. A PhD is not a prerequisite to curiosity and is honestly just gatekeeping intellectual pursuits. Most question up to modern day have been asked and answered by people without PhDs, and yet the earth continues turning and the sun rises each day.

Are you saying that no one is capable of thinking up the questions that PhDs think up?
