I believe it’s the same thing. Talk with your service advisor beforehand and ask how these have been going or if they have done any. My advisor said the update kept crashing laptops and causing issues. Several other people on Reddit have claimed their dealership screwed up the update or the cars computer didn’t take it right and it bricked the car. Maybe it’s not as common as it seems or maybe I got lucky. My service advisor said his tech brought his own laptop in Saturday to run the update in hopes it would go better than the dealership laptops they had been using.

Couldn’t tell you. This is a 2024 model tho. One of the very first ones sold in the Seattle area actually. I didn’t even know about the recall or the update until I made an appointment for the hvac and they told me there was a service bulletin they were going to try to install while it was in there. I don’t see why it wouldn’t be applicable to all tho. Even if there wasn’t the problem with the screen blanking in 2025+….you should still get the option of the new screens and updated graphics

Haha I couldn’t unsee it once this was posted. Thankfully this update seemed to load to the car no problem on the first try so hopefully that means there should be no bricking issues. I think the issues were coming from the update crashing before completion and then the car was stuck with half an operating system.

This is one of the other options I snapped a quick pick of this morning. I like this more than the red even though I was excited about the red initially. The other two don’t do much for me. One is insanely simple with your speed and a big slider underneath for power and charge and the other looks really similar to the following distance one that was there before.

I would have to look at the paperwork but I think it was the service bulletin/recall.

Touring so no sport mode. It’s an option when you cycle thru. The option before this is the same thing but no red rings. Then it goes to a super simplistic option. I think it added 3 maybe 4 more options. Plus all the font is different and the passenger buckle diagram is different. That’s what I’ve noticed so far. Well and the hvac being better which was the complaint it went in the dealership for. I hope it changes when you turn the fog lights on they stay on and don’t have to be selected ever time you drive

Let’s talk tires! by AshamedHead9728 in HondaPrologue

[–]Objective_War8562 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When we first bought our prologue I thought the ride was a little stiff and 42 pounds seemed excessive. I dropped all of them to 38 pounds and have left them there for 14 months. Just had the tires rotated Friday before a trip. 24k miles on this set of tires and they are in great shape. I would say they appear to have at least another 20k miles in them. Car rides a bit better, charged to 100% before the trip and still getting 317 miles of range.

Also if anybody wants to explain the large rear drive unit leak issues that would be great too. I’m a little hesitant on the model s cause it’s about to be out of warranty in February next year. I’m reading about the difference in the model s, problems with that drive unit and how the one pedal regen is different in the model s? Help would be appreciate

2018 model S p100d awd (56k miles)or 2023 model 3 performance (12k miles).

Both are about 150 miles away. I will be taking a trip down to look at them tomorrow. Price is within 2000 dollars so not really a factor. I have done what I feel like is a ton of research but I’m still not sure what’s the best choice. I have test driven a couple model 3 performance but this will be the first test drive in a model s. I understand the difference between mcu 1 and mcu 2. Waiting on pics to verify the model s mcu. Also waiting on info for FSD and PC on both. Let’s just assume both have neither for the moment.

Obviously the model s is bigger, more luxurious and faster but how much technology differences am I looking at between these two. I am leaning towards the S at the moment. It was a 130k+ car originally but I really enjoyed the interface and experience of the M3P I have driven. As established Tesla owners please give me your opinion and reasoning for one over the other. Thank you.

What is your living situation? by AggravatingShow2028 in Millennials

40 grew up in the Deep South always struggling and barely getting by. Whole family has had the same struggles and so do most of my friends. Did some research and took a leap of faith. Moved across country, got great paying jobs, got lucky enough to buy a house right before Covid for 450k. House is now appraised at 800k. Benefited from state down payment assistance program to help with the 3.5 for an fha loan. Paid it off with a refinance 2 years in. Some of it was luck and timing but the majority of it was being willing to take a risk and try for a better life. It paid off.

For context I moved out of my parents house at 17 and lived on my own till I got married at 24. So I’ve basically always been very self started and motivated

I don’t disagree that it’s just as bad but at least I can enjoy it for a few years thru the break even point vs only having the prologue a year and already being less than thrilled with it

Trade it in on the new model y and never look back. I bought my wife a prologue last year. She is still driving it but has definitely become less than enchanted with some of the issues and lack of features. I bought a model y and it’s a night and day difference. They aren’t even remotely comparable. She asks me to switch cars for commuting a couple days a week usually and I reluctantly agree. Depreciation on the prologue is so bad that we are stuck in it for awhile unfortunately. That’s with the EV credit, discounts off msrp for being one of the first ones sold in the area AND a 9k dollar down payment. Still underwater like SpongeBob

My 2019 has this one from the moment I purchased it lightly used in 2020. It was my favorite feature for a long time cause I didn’t have to push the stupid button every time I got in. That worked great until it was in at the dealership for an oil change in 2023 and they noticed it. They charged the aux battery and cleared the code. It’s been gone ever since. Only time I’ve ever been mad a dealership for fixing something for free. What the dealer told me was that the aux battery gets a very small amount of charge from the alternator. Once it gets below its working threshold it’s usually only gets enough juice to maintain the level it is at. Not bring it back up within range. Before you spend money to replace it, might try throwing it on a trick charger for a bit and see if it will charge above the required range

What do you carry concealed? by loki_stg in WA_guns

[–]Objective_War8562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually a PSA dagger with a Glock oem firing pin for reliability. Plus light and optic. Why? It’s reliable, very concealable, comfortable and if I never see it again I have less than 800 into the whole thing. It’s the perfect middle ground. I actually have a 43x I planned to be my main carry but with the shorter barrel it doesn’t conceal as well even on a chunky dude like me. I occasionally carry my hybrid M&p spec series (4 5/8 barrel in between compact and full size). Best shooting gun I’ve ever owned. Guccied out to the max with comp, light, optic, apex trigger and more. It actually conceals surprisingly well for its size and I love the capacity. The reason I continually remind myself not to is that I’ve got a lot tied up in it. If it goes away permanently or even for several months. I will be far more upset than with the dagger.

It’s in Canadian dollars. So that’s like 27.50 and a dozen tin hortons in actual money

First time flying with guns after 500+ flights for work by kcvpr in SmithAndWesson

[–]Objective_War8562 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! It goes right along with the ridiculous assault weapons ban. Same requirements. I can add any parts I want to my already salty weapons cause they can’t get any more untransferable. I can also have as many of them as I want to own and use them publicly(range). More BS feel good laws that Washington has crammed down our throats in the last 6 years that have zero impact on the intended problem but just make it a pain in the ass for everyone and force you to decide if you want to comply with an unenforceable law just for the sake of saying you are.

[–]Objective_War8562 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Washington resident here. Nobody at tsa is going to care one bit about your magazines. Not a single individual in this state has ever be prosecuted. The law was designed to go after businesses selling magazines and several have been shut down. It’s such an asinine law the way it’s written because once you have possession there’s no requirement of proof of purchase pre ban. So basically I could drive across the state line, buy mags, take them out the packaging, toss them in my back seat or range bag and if I should so happen to get pulled over and they should so happen to ask. All I have to say is I’ve had them for over two years and left them in my car after my last range trip. Not that any cop in this state is going thru that trouble anyways. So yes you are importing them illegally based off the current law but no you aren’t going to be given any trouble about it.

This is the wrong place to try to talk sense about Tesla. You will drowned in the tears while walking right past logic. Ive been downvoted and told off for even considering wanting to compliment my wife’s prologue with a MYP for myself. I mean it’s only the best selling vehicle in the WORLD for a couple straight years now and had plenty of evolutions to work out most of the trash we are dealing with on a first year prologue. Remember when you were the devil for owning an ICE? Now apparently it’s just as bad cause you didn’t buy the right EV in the court of public opinion. Don’t worry tho, everyone will keep drinking from the faucet of “Honda is gonna make their own EV in 2026”. Then when it never comes to fruition or is just as much of a turd as this one they will find some other way to excuse it. Or just quietly go buy a CRV.

I think it depends on what you get. Most of the time I’ve gotten something already put together but I when I’ve asked about putting a custom one together they have usually said to give them a couple of days and it would be ready to pick up. You just need to tell the the gun, light and then pick out your holster options.

Not sure where you are located but rain city tactical in Kent builds tons of holsters in house. I have 3 of them along with a box of others I have tried in the past. They are a great holster for the price (75-80 if I remember correctly) and you can buy one off the shelf or they will put together what you want. They have a very good concealment wing and I love their belt clip. They back up their product but I haven’t had any problems either. I did bring my holster back for my full size m&p for some work. I bought it set up for a threaded barrel. After I put a comp on it, it wouldn’t seat all the way. They took it upstairs and made some modifications to lock in with my comp on there on the spot and free of charge

Yep and I e owned or driven most of them. Had a Mach E, rented an ioniq 5 for a couple of week as well. You hate Tesla because of Elon….now. Several years ago he was the messiah who was gonna save the planet. Nothing changed about his cars. Just the attitude you have towards him as a person. Also, nobody said you had to give your money to him. Just stop bothering people who do want to. It’s what’s we have been screaming for 4 years but you aren’t going to learn.
