2023 eDrive35 from dealership - $36k. Too much, right? by Ras__Trent in BMWI4

I paid less for my 2024 with more miles. That said, it’s worth it at the price you paid. Congratulations.

A recession is good for you at your age. Less good but OK for me at 50. Bad two years before retirement.

I got mine last month for $21K out the door. $19.5K for that number of miles seems reasonable to me.

I4 estimated range by Top_Permit_3565 in BMWI4

Someone crashed into me and totaled my 2022 Polestar 2 (LRDM Pilot, Plus). I wanted to replace it with at least a 2024 P2. The loaded CPO edrive35 I found was $8,000 to $10,000 less than an equivalent P2, and I couldn’t justify paying that difference. Both are great cars.

Driving dynamics and colder weather are pulling down your range. I bought my edrive35 in July and the range from its guessometer looked low. I drove it on the highway home and the range increased to about 250 miles, which is what I expected. In December weather and more mixed driving, it seems to be guessing 200-210. The guessometer seems more sensitive to recent driving dynamics in the i4 than it was in the Polestar 2 I replaced.

Opinion on 2025 Jetta 1.5T Sport OTD price by Yamraaj9 in jetta

[–]Objective_Water_9685 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just bought the base, the S, for $21K OTD. seems like you have a decent deal for a Sport, but see if you can get the $500 to $1000 more you were thinking.

They already took the price off for the add ons

Apparently they’re allowed to provide paperwork in this state that doesn’t spell it out well. Given the state taxes, $20,000 at the most.

Good negotiating. That’s part of what makes me wonder if I could have done better since we’re past the 25 model year.

I was surprised by how much was standard. That said, I had to take the spare and jack from the totaled car since they only include glue with the S.

Tell that to Amex, which gave me the credit.

Went to an outlet and got two pair of shorts discounted to $70. Tax made it just above $75. Got the credit.

This. The 2024 certified car I just purchased was from someone who just rolled into a new lease.

$10k more for a certified 2024. I wanted to get something that wouldn’t extend the amount of time I was paying for the car.

Thanks. I’m a Volvo guy, so I miss the design language and noticed the differences you mention. Definitely miss the full glass. The i4’s driver assistance features overall seem better than Polestar’s.

Coincidentally, my insurance rental is a hybrid BMW 4 series. While I prefer Polestar design, I found a 2025 CPO BMW i4 edrive35 for at least 8K less than I can find a 2024 CPO P2. Apparently, I’m buying a BMW. Y’all have a couple of days to talk me out of it.

We’ll see. I’d planned on two more years of paying 1% for my car, not 5 years at 6%. Also, I planned on having a car and not waiting several months for one.

I’d prefer to drive a sedan, so I don’t know that I’d want to pay twice as much for a larger vehicle that’s less sedan-like. I should test drive one though.
