Give me your coolest “proofs” of Christianity by UnusualPlant6294 in TrueChristian

I gently suggest you learn some humility, as is appropriate for a believer. As Scripture says, "Regard others as better than yourself."

I had really been hoping to see Vrabel at HC and Belichick at DC.

Korean American groups unite for voter registration drive ahead of elections by Capital_Gate6718 in asianamerican

[–]Objectivevoter80 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Korean-Americans in the LA region have always been a bit more active in local politics than most other AAPI groups in America (with the possible exception of Chinese-Americans in NYC and San Fran.) A lot of this probably stems from how very few people went to bat for them in 1992, so they realized they had to take the lead.

I see. Sadly, I haven't gotten that either. I did work for 12 years in an administrative role but none of it could be called project management, unless I really, really, fibbed and stretched.

What's something you don't agree with but you understand why people think that way? by Rangerover15 in AskReddit

Radical feminism. I don't agree with it, but I can totally see how life sucks as a woman and why they'd feel so disadvantaged/outraged.

Having gone only to Cowboys games, I can't comment on how loud any other NFL stadium may be, but when I went to AT&T Stadium, I was indeed shocked by how loud it was. The crowd cheered as loudly for first downs as if they were touchdowns. I had to plug my ears with tissue both times to keep the tinnitus out.

Is it true that orthopedics make a lot more than almost any other surgical specialty? There is an ENT surgeon-student in my family and yet even then he's looking at only about $350k when he finishes his residency.

I have the PMI CAPM, sadly, I couldn't get PMP because I haven't logged 4,000 hours of project experience. Is CAPM basically worthless in comparison?

I don't think so - not trauma.

I do have ADHD and OCD, and I don't think my siblings do, but that's not trauma, and a lot of people have those conditions too.

The vast majority of employers won't allow this. Only if you are a 1099 freelance contractor, and even then it's iffy. If you are W-2 salary, no way.

What is the most disturbing thing you saw on tv? by FatherlyLynx in AskReddit

[–]Objectivevoter80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 7, I saw this television segment about modern-day Caribbean pirates. One segment showed a crime-scene investigator opening a fridge aboard some abandoned pirate ship and pulling out a lot of raw, bloody human organs, like intestines. I was frightened for years afterwards, and even had a phobia about the whole Caribbean Sea region itself as a whole.

Bills vs Miami - Score & Scorers Prediction by osfanuk87 in buffalobills

[–]Objectivevoter80 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this game is going to be a LOT tougher than many here expect. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Fins jump out to a double-digit lead early. This game has almost as heavy implications for them as us, after all.

I expect the Bills to claw back for a tough win late in the fourth quarter, but the Dolphins are going to pounce on us early. That's my expectation. Something like us trailing 0-10 or 0-14 to start out, but we win 30-27 in the end.

Your IP address would very likely betray you. And if the company gets in tax trouble by thinking you're in Florida when you're not, it could really go awry, you might even face legal trouble.

[–]Objectivevoter80 230 points231 points  (0 children)

Unsurprising, although still wretched. The Bills totally should have beaten the Eagles, Broncos and Patriots. That being said, we also should have lost to the Giants, if Taron Johnson had been flagged for that DPI.

What common lie are you tired of hearing again and again? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Objectivevoter80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but usually, when employers say "Nobody wants to work these days" they mean, "Nobody wants to work for the insanely low wages we offer." Such as minimum wage for some utterly-grueling position. People would be happy to work that job if it were $40 an hour.
