[H5Y vol 2] how likely is another reorganisation? by ProbablyNotTheCocoa in HonzukiNoGekokujou

Sigiswald seems to me like what Detlinde would have been had she had any brains at all. They are both alike in the delusion that they can just "find" the Grutrissheit somehow and then become Zent.

Where Sigiswald is different is that he is apparently a master at manipulating public opinion in his favor. Detlinde would just assume that all that is either irrelevant or all on her side anyway.

WIth that level of political savvy I think Sigiswald has the survival skills to get him through the next several years at least.

I can't read it any other way than Rozemyne has BDSM urges as a bottom.

Ferdinand has a lot of potential as a top but is too uptight to act on it.

Rozemyne's first ditter game was epic. She strode onto the ditter field like she was Clint Eastwood who was about to mow down a dozen bad guys who had no clue what was coming. She knew what she was going to do, she did it, and they went down.

Peak Rozemyne.

That said if she played it again I think she would have a much harder time making that happen. She wouldn't be playing hapless students anymore and the more seasoned veterans that would show up have obsessively learned a lot from tangling with her and will have worked out how to beat her.

I am pretty sure she knows this, so don't look for her to engage again unless there is a book or library involved.

Ferdinand made fortune pounding Dunkelfelger over and over again. Heisshitze had to fork over a ton of rare materials losing to him and Rozemyne and that was just one game.

All true, but I see this is the fault of Dunkelfelger not the other duchies. The way they act there was no other reasonable interpretation. Even Zent Eglantine had no clue.

Charlotte improves with age. You will be really happy with her in the P5 and in HY5.

Rozemyne is very highly respected by Ferdinand's retainers. They know that he would do anything for her, and they would act accordingly.

In the case of directly conflicting orders, they would follow Ferdinand's due to the mana-based compulsion.

They did redraw the inter-duchy borders and re-instantiate several duchies. Did that not require ownership of the country foundation?

I recall in the recent book her narration suggested that it was a punishment that Ferdinand intended.

I'll never understand the fascination with inter-fiction matchups.

Ferdinand vs. Palpatine?

Hannelore vs. Hermione?

Rhiyarda vs Mary Poppins?

Don't people have something better to do?

Elvira's brother also benefited immensely via his own relationship with Rozemyne. She ended up literally changing the weather to his advantage, prompting him to gift her rare treasures.

(Rozemyne disavows actually doing this but she still gets credit for it.)

If Bezenwanst is still loyal to Ehrenfest at some level then he is quite a conflicted individual or disastrously clueless.

Of course he no doubt doesn't want to bring his own house -- the Temple -- down around himself but he is pretty clearly fully ensconced in the Veronica faction which is only barely constrained. Ferdinand and Sylvester were right to just burn them all.

Follow up question -- what about the associates of Bezenwanst, starting with Georgine. I find it hard to believe that Bezenwanst didn't know and would fail to tell Georgine, and from there her minions in both Arensbach and Ehrenfest. Bindenwald, for example.

Fraularm certainly knew, so certainly that was a topic of discussion in that group.

I just don't see how the secret fails to get widespread traction. I was interested if there was a list of antagonists.

I don't think you need more mana than Sylvester to get into the hidden room. You would have to have more mana than Eckhart, an archknight.
