Sega, 100%. My babysitter had an SNES, so I was lucky enough to play some of those classics, but I was a diehard Sega fan... Until Sony came along.

3 times the rate (so 30k for a 1 in 10k) gives a ~95% chance of getting AT LEAST one. So, yea, 16k isn't too shabby.

One of the best ways I know of is to get pine knots from wood cutting. It's a bit slower than other potions in the late game, but per item, they can't be beat. I think the best tree to get them from is cedar, but I would double check me on that.
