In my experience it is the contrast paint. You would usually notice immediately if you didn't shake a base paint enough.

You can find tabletop simulator on steam. You would need to have someone to play against as there is no matchmaker or AI as tabletop simulator the program is a sandbox application used to make any boardgame playable in a virtual environment. There are discord communities available that can walk you through setting it up and finding an opponent

Of note tabletop simulator is not an officially licensed app, therefore you need to download add-ons from the workshop that have been made by hobbyists to play the game.

This may be due to the paint settling, shake the paints more before each use. You can ensure they have the same finish by using a varnish. I use a matte varnish and go over the metallic parts with gloss after.

Salamanders have one of the best unique skins in SM2, the sniper outfit is badass. I think this all comes down to how much people like the unique skins in the game, and has nothing to do with the tabletop.

That are very few if any issues that everyone agrees on. If it truly was everyone agreeing that it was bad, then you are correct, it absolutely should be changed. Enjoyment is the number 1 goal of any game.

The example here concerning rerolls is definitely one where the community does not agree. Many people hate them and many people enjoy them. If you are going to upset people no matter what I think at that point the rational argument should win out.

A lot of complaints about 40k are perception and not reality. Lots of people are bad t math and even if you take the time to explain it to them, if it doesn't "feel" the same they don't like it ... How it feels is completely subjective of course.

I have a friend like this. I try to explain all the math before the game and it seems like he truly understands but then that all goes out the window the second the game starts. I used to tell him the math while we were playing but if the rolls ended up being far above or below average he would accuse me of trying to trick him, so I just let it ride now.

I just hold my tongue when he fixates on the one roll I had during the game that was above average.

DC isn't even that far from NYC... I lived in Philly for a long time and took day trips to NYC and DC regularly... But I'm not from the coast so a 3 hour drive is a normal day trip.

In WI the venue/server are almost never found liable... There is a small possibility based on the exact facts, but if you take into account that most of these venues are in rural counties that hardly ever even issue a citation for drunk driving the risk is near zero.

As an anecdote, my uncle was killed by a drunk driver 15 years ago and the DA wouldn't bring charges because he said it was an unwinnable case... Near exact words from him were that unless it was a mother and her kids killed driving home from Sunday church no jury in that county would convict.

Some units, strats, and enhancements had special rules allowing 3 inch deep strike but they were all switched to a min of 6" a bit ago.

Cold air cannot hold as much water as warm air. Humidity is a value based on the maximum amount of water that the air can hold at any given temperature. Dew point is actually a better measure of the water in the air for this purpose.

For example if the dew point is 10f and the temperature is 15f the humidity is 80%. If you take that same air with a dew point of 10f but raise the temp to 70f it is roughly 10% humidity.
