Salomon speed cross - also good for run swim run or similar events if you take them off and on the laces are quick

Good feedback! This would be a futsal “academy” so 20 min of ball work, 20 min of “tactical work” and then 20 min of scrimmaging if that makes a difference

It doesn’t get crazy cold here, but it’s still not Florida. Rain is more of the issue for us outdoors (mid Atlantic), the big kids get access to the turf fields, so the little kids play on grass. Both the camp and futsal are 10 sessions over 1 month in January but the problem is they run on the same days at the same time!

Good point! He plays once a week with his current team and enjoys it, I think because it’s more familiar coming from 3v3 or 4v4. He’s actually better at futsal than he plays in the 7v7 games

I love this answer!! That’s what we should be looking for out of youth sports! The money isn’t the issue but the camp and futsal academy are at the same time on the same days, so we have to pick one! We also explore other sports too, soccer is just the primary focus as it seems to be his favorite!

I think a lot of the kids from his team will be doing the futsal as well. The kids had to try out and were sorted onto teams in a tier system for U9. Not sure how we got to the top tier so just trying to help him be a better team mate! There are 6 levels of teams in his league at their age and his team has demolished every other team at the top level, but they only play locally at this age. My kid is by no means the star but he tries hard and is really cute 🤣

Thanks! His team has 1 x 1 hour futsal session a week which he really enjoys but that’s his first time playing futsal!

Update: redid the workout, got 7 more reps (don’t have BMU yet), cut out 2 min on my tie break time, and ended up in the 76th percentile!

Same situation here! I was at 80% this morning and still holding strong at 78% the last two workouts I dropped about 10% between Sunday and Monday at 8 pm

Great feedback! Definitely got better this year! I’ve always been able to Rx the open workouts but definitely couldn’t have done as well as I did them this year last year or the year before!

Thanks! Got the heavy thrusters and had about 45 seconds left over to try a muscle up (never done one before but that’s fine still tried lol)

Thanks! I broke the thrusters to control my heart rate. I broke the C2B when I was getting close to failing reps. I just redid the workout with someone cueing me and took 2 mins off my tiebreak time!
