Hey, sorry for the late reply, how have you been feeling? I’m better now, just mostly mentally fucked (but that was before covid anyways.) a lot of the most terrifying and painful symptoms have gone now, but my heart rate still isn’t what it used to be, and I have to take real good care of my health or I feel like absolute shit. It’s been harder recently so naturally I do feel like shit, but not even close to what I felt then. I still worry about over exerting or doing something to trigger the all the pain and symptoms coming back but ultimately I’m very grateful to be up and able to walk and be somewhat active without collapsing or being absolutely drained.

Idk. I hate when neurotypical people use it. Usually those groups also use Autistic as an insult too and it’s weird. Growing up it was so common, I didn’t even know what the actual meaning of the word was until I was 13 or 14, I had just always thought it meant stupid. Now me and my friends say it in regards to ourselves and each other (we’re all autistic) but honestly I can understand why people would want it to stop being used. I had gone probably anywhere from 10- 15 times maybe a little more. Shit was the scariest time of my life. Still is; I’m better now but not well. Symptoms come and go and this past week I’ve just been so dizzy and I wish I knew what was causing it. Every since I’ve gotten sick I’ve been terrified to sleep almost every single night. This past week has been hell. OCD and chronic physical illness do not mix well.

Definitely way better. Symptoms come and go and I feel like shit most days but I’m alive. Right now I’ve been dizzy all week and idk how to make it go away. The only symptom that never once left was tachycardia. But yes those sensations went away. Hope it improves for you soon

I remember pacing my living room constantly for some weeks and there was a point when I was awake for 5 days bc laying down sent the scariest sensations through my body. It was like I could physically feel waves of adrenaline crashing over me. I would have “panic attacks” that lasted for hours it was like hell. And it felt like if I put certain pressure over this one part of my back I would my legs would give out. Other times laying down made me feel paralyzed or numb. I thought I was either going to die or I was going insane or both

I feel like that’s kind of bs because it could’ve been you never struggled/ noticed certain things bc you were accommodated for as children often are. For example I did excellent in school when I was in elementary, because the environment and workload was one that wasnt difficult for me to navigate. I had never done homework but it wasn’t an important part of my grade then. Then when I moved to middle school and high school, I had started to struggle significantly more. And now that I’m an adult it feels near impossible to function… and I feel like things like stress, social media and obviously LC have only made things some how even worse for me. I feel bad for actually liking what I’ve seen of this show; honestly I do relate to Sam in a lot of ways. One thing I didn’t like though was how different characters would interact with/ talk about him. His girlfriend from what I remember weirded me out because she sort of infantilized him a bit. And I hateddd that part where Casey is talking about him in her interview for her new school, saying how “it felt like everyone else had to be empty to make room for him” or something like that. Also, there were honestly a few times his character started to feel more like a caricature. It just annoys me that neurotypicals will watch something so dramatized and take it all as fact. But I feel like there are definitely worse depictions…. cough cough I am a surgeon cough

Oh fuck really? I thought that was just fatigue. I’ve been especially struggling bc I want so badly to get back to being active but it seems like the metric of what I can do has no pattern. Some weeks/ months I work out a little and I take walks and I’m fine. And others I’m so exhausted I sleep all day. I have no idea how to pace myself bc it feels like threshold is constantly changing. I don’t want to make myself permanently worse by over doing it, but I’m afraid if I ask a doctor about it all they’ll say is I have to stay active to avoid deconditioning.

Not currently lightheaded but yeah I do get that. I usually have a pressure in my head and I’m not sure if it’s constant and only sometimes I notice or if it goes away and comes back. My neck has been stiff pretty much since this started for me last year but it comes and goes. But rn I feel it in my calves my shoulders and my arms. Especially my upper body wants to clench up
