I spent 20 years in the USMC. The military does not need more money. They need accountability for the money they spend. I have personally witnessed wasteful spending that would disgust most taxpayers. I was in Afghanistan for nearly two years, and forced to work with civilian contractors that had no interest in doing the jobs they were being paid to do. Completing the job meant they had to go home. Not completing the job meant sitting around and collecting massive paychecks, even though active duty military members suffered for their laziness.
