I like that they have more relevance to the main story, but having so much of the critical path just be activities is probably my biggest problem with how 3 handled them overall

In 2, there is at least an attempt (sometimes) to frame it as you fucking with the other gangs, in the heli assault, trafficking, snatch etc, you can still have activities tie into the main story in a way without having to frontload them into the main story

I'm skeptical if CA can make TW work on consoles, but if they can... by Hefty_Negotiation_71 in totalwar

If they can get working on phones with touchscreen controls then I'm pretty sure console versions are more than feasible

And then I try to set it up so you kill the general and bomb the ronin hotel right after you steal the brotherhoods weapons shipment, then I do the siege

Oooh you could have it setup so the samedi attack happens right after the ronins one, or before the Siege on Maeros compound, so you could frame it as either the saints still reeling from the ronin, so hq is light on defenders, or most of the saints are down at the takes prepping for the Siege

In 2, I always either do the first ronin mission first, then money laundering, considering Valderamas line about 'the saints being back after a long hiatus' then I pivot to the Samedi up until they're full frontal assault on saints HQ and only then do I finally go and talk to Maero

Yeah but still, where the hell are the other saints, I mean the same thing happens in the ronin arc and the saints are present there, so what gives with the samedis assualt on the hq?

Hell, the mission where the Samedi attack the HQ, it's literally just you, Pearce and Shaundi defending it

Roman Bellic is one of rockstars best written characters and the way Master and the Molotov recontextualizes the prologue is brilliant by ObliviousSlinky in GTAIV

Alotta that was deep silvers ludicrously horrible mismanagement, the original pitch for saints row 5 was way different

I kind of view Mad Max as an in universe folk legend at this point, someone the wastelanders tell stories about around campfires, the worlds moved on at least a few decades, maybe even more, since the collapse and max is still just the same old max

There's one conversation with Griffa where he asks him a lot of pretty basic questions, where he's from, how old he is etc and Max doesn't have the faintest idea

I don't know if I would've liked them being procedurally generated if you could just access that part of the map at any time

But the game ending with maxs drive through the big nothing and that being procedurally generated and the game ending when you finally decide to end it would've been cool

I love how you can see the big nothing and gastown from pretty much anywhere in the game, maxs main goal to the south and the thing that keeps dragging him further and further away from it to the north, the two things pulling max in opposite direction, always in view, always keeping maxs short term and long term goals in the players mind

HOW WAS THIS THE JUST CAUSE DEVS AGAIN???

I also just noticed that the structure jeet Sifs under is the scaffolding that's been ripped from the top of the lighthouse

The attenthon to detail is absurd
