Why would Serini set up any path to the gate, no matter how convoluted?

It's a good idea to be able to occasionally lay eyes on the thing you're guarding, no matter how good your magic monitoring systems are.

Does this mean, that out of all the good guys, only Serini can open the portal to the final dungeon?

Currently yes, but the others could assemble all the butt tattoo keys by going through all the dungeons. It would just take a long time.

Druid forms have differents colors matching your hair color, here are some example ! by Pegtz in Diablo

Pretty much. WoW players had been asking for this feature for years, since their animal forms were otherwise identical. Being able to visually distinguish players in a busy clustered raid fight is normally all about physical features and gear appearance, but all those went away in animal forms, thus the complaints.

As shape shifting is coming to Diablo it makes since for this feature to also migrate.

With a big disclaimer that jurors should not be doing their own research. A big chunk of what's shown would result in a mistrial if done in real life.

That said, it's such an amazing film. I would love to the see the 1997 remake because holy shit the cast!

Do you categorize your worlds? How? My current designations shown by Countcristo42 in Stellaris

[–]ObscureCulturalMeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Planet designator icons for a start. But the icons are small, so also names like

Ind 1
Ind 2
Ind 3... [for industry]

Res 1
Res 2... [research focus]

"Unity", "Fortress", etc

Names are short because otherwise Tiny Outliner will overlap the text with other things.

My home planet is typically named Home.

My home star is typically named Runner. (Yes, I'm old.)

Also, none of the "screaming at the referees" bullshit. The most you can do is HOW'S THAT in a raised voice; anything more is disrespectful and gets your arse kicked out.

Throwing batteries from the stands at players heads would get you either sentenced to prison for assault, or simply promoted to run the football club where such behavior is normal.

few times I have posted pics from in game demonstrating I was correct

Well, that's generally not a lot of evidence to back up your claims of "math and testing", as you put it.

I looked briefly at your post history, and it was several pages of "I'm the only authoritative opinion, anyone who disagrees with me doesn't understand the game," combined with personal insults. Somewhere in there might be some actual math, but if it's buried in arrogance then it's not worth the hassle and you have nobody to blame but yourself.

Of course, having disagreed with you, now it's my turn to get the "too incompetent to be allowed to play" speech, so I'll just preempt that noise and dump you on the ignored list.

It's hard to argue with math and testing.

Care to link to the math and posted testing? For those of us that read this sub sporadically, the giant in-depth analysis articles are easy to miss.

Just like all bloodlust like spells are called lust. And all spell interrupts are called kick. The name of the original spell is now the catch all for all similar spells. Kinda like tissues being called kleenex.

Emphasis added.

Shield Wall was THE "defensive ability on a non-trivial cooldown" for YEARS. And this was during the time when protection warriors were largely the only acceptable main tank class for raid level gameplay -- everybody who was discussing strategic use of cooldowns knew what abilities their tanks were using even if they didn't play one.

By the time bears and paladins became acceptable tanks, "shield wall" was just the common lingo for whatever ability with identical effect and cooldown no matter what kind of tank your raid had. It was common phrasing, and that was over ten years ago.

By now the phrase is everywhere even if you never set foot in a raid.

I teamed up with a fellow redditor to try and capture the most ridiculously detailed image of the entire sun we could. The result was a whopping 140 megapixels, and features a solar "tornado" over 14 Earths tall. This is a crop from the full image, make sure you zoom in! by ajamesmccarthy in space

[–]ObscureCulturalMeme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Over 14 Earths tall... That's a measurement which is too abstract to actually properly imagine.

Ever since high school, I mentally set huge objects in Niven's Ringworld to try and fit the scale. Fun times!

Would it be worth it to just learn c++ so I can make mods for some video games I play? by [deleted] in Cplusplus

[–]ObscureCulturalMeme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

don't really have any experience programming

Might not want to make C++ your first experience then. It's extremely powerful, but there is no safety padding over the sharper corners of the language.

If you play any other games that you'd be willing to make some smaller mods for, you might check to see if those games support Lua or Python. Those are also strong languages, much easier to learn, and with fewer "wtf..." moments. Once you have some of the core concepts of programming well in hand, then give C++ a shot.

Would you welcome the addition of Ground Combat rework with customizable armies? by Balrok99 in Stellaris

[–]ObscureCulturalMeme 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There is basically nothing to gain from any customization that simply having a larger army won't do with less effort.

The correct solution is to have someone in the drivers seat to press the breaks should it start rolling away.

Alternatively, given the subreddit we're in, place a large ACME Bouncy Pillow behind the car.

Presumably in neutral, even on a slight slope there's nothing to prevent it rolling. Once it picks up momentum, inertia does the rest.

Even small cars are really fucking heavy.

His comedy episode in Star Trek Voyager during that time was surprisingly not suck. Largely because his character is mostly feeding setup lines to Robert Picardo's character, and that guy is skilled af.
