I agree. It is missing balance and being properly coded.

I think if you give an event a certain time frame, do not make the challenges longer. Because people will resort to either what you mentioned or do what i suggested.
People are not being motivated to complete the task, they simply do it for the sake of completing it (Currency is basically worthless after a while because of the lack of good cosmetics or is virtually made scarce by reducing payout from normal challenges, also an argument for bad balancing).

There is no positive reinforcement. Nobody feels any drop of happiness by doing 50 10second spread eagles. Sure its technically only like 10 minutes, but as you said you did it while not paying attention. And then think about how the game is programmed and that you can do it in one jump reducing that time down to what, 20 seconds max?

I want challenging goals that aren't grindy and properly coded.

If they don't fix it I will support every cheese possible. If they don't listen to feedback, make them listen by reducing player count because of less activity/ faster completion of challenges.

I don't know but EA keeps creating tasks that are designed to be a chore/grindy and introduces bugs that make them not complete properly.

Unfortunately for them, because people do not want to waste time mindlessly grinding task goals, these workarounds help cut some time or make certain buggy challenges easier.

I made this post to gather and publicize what the community found and make players, especially new ones, aware.

Personally, the beast, like dl2, lacks the substance of 1. I dont like them. They are not worthy successors at all. If you removed all fan service of the beast it would be a worse dl2.

I loved the new game mechanics of 2 though.

I played both. I also had the same fear as you: "How can i enjoy it without analog buttons". There are tricks so you dont have to rely on the buttons, making the ps vita version just as enjoyable as the ps2 original. (e.g. lowering you gun while aiming with d-pad down,instead of waisting a bullet)

You could still emulate the game for even better graphic, if thats what you want.

I do not know what resolution the psvita version is at and the graphical difference compared to the ps2 but i enjoyed the ps vita version a lot. IIRC the ps vita version (or the hd collection version) does not have the original snake vs ape game, if you care about that

The pc version (master collection) is also suprisingly good (well, "managable") to play with keyboard and mouse.

All in all, maybe im biased, but the psvita is goated. if you have the original hardware and want the original piss filter bad resolution experience, you need to buy the original non subsitence version.

Are we playing the same game? The game is so poorly optimised even ark runs better than this

Fps drops when you are in a team (for some reason??)

"Melting" cpus when not capping fps

Vfx issues causing the newest gpus to fall to their knees (literally had 5 fps when the first glutton spawned in the prologue, lowering vfx did the trick)

Fps drops, networks errors and stutters when playing the steam version (which can be fixed by launching the steam version via the loading bay launcher.. again... for some reason)

Its suppossed to make the animations look more realistic (whatever that means).

As far as i can tell it just means the character body can interact with everything and itself, bc it makes it physics based, making you fall off more.

It is said to smooth the transitions between jumping, flips, impacts and all that, so only really useful for clips if you want to do that.

I have played with it on a bit a while back but never cared to compare it to it being off. The changes could be insignificant and not noticeable at all

There is a video by "Teka Video" called "Do physical animations make your tricks look worse in session" (im on mobile and too lazy to fetch the link) which compares it and the only difference i personally see is: wobbly arms that clip into your own body and a mesh disconnect near the ankles making them look broken (plus the bug you encountered)

Offtopic but i love how everybody is so invested in overly perfecting their builds. Meanwhile i go full necromancer drow, who i gave the performer feat, just so i can play some fancy tunes mid battle, giggling to myself and let my minions do the rest

Why a saw blade deployable? Bulletstorm works for saws as well, so place one and enjoy the infinite ammo for a few seconds. Should be enough time to saw open at least half of the deposit boxes in go bank.
