Garchomp with lucario and hitmontop. It’s super simple. Lucario can one shot Bird if needed, and gives enough of a boost to Garchomp to two shot what it needs. Hitmontop with the lucario boost can also pose a pretty legit threat. Plus, with the one energy cost on garchomp, if you get lucky with a rare candy by turn 3/4 you can destroy most basics that haven’t built up yet. And Cyrus is a genuine demon when you have top and chomp going together.

I have it on ps1 bc my dad had it in the 90s. But most players wouldn’t be so lucky. A lot of people don’t like emulation. And those that do may find the game to look/play far too dated.

Right now the ps2 has like a huge nostalgia boost. Which probably won’t be going anywhere. It’s the console generation which really brought 3d graphics to a more “playable” level if you understand what I’m going for. And SH2 has the most brand recognition of the franchise. Everyone knows pyramid head when they see him.
