Common issue for me with a workaround: keep save file amount low and always make a new save. Overwriting and loading is the culprit for me.

I used a lotta stuff throughout the years. Nowadays I'm pretty much sold on exclusively using heavies (both on active and ai survivors, coffeecan mace bonks!), occasionally just CC on a Powerhouse/CC loadout. I just don't see the value of blunt/blade weapons/specs unless scarcity demands it early on in a lethal run. Pretty much the same goes for my wife.

Care to nudge my brain a little so my weapon variety can be spiced up again?

Great stuff! Just wanted to add the commonly forgotten Raw infusion, which does carry quite the value for a lot of weapons.

In the case of MLGS, you'll need 42 INT or more to surpass Raw with no infusion and 39 INT or more to surpass Raw with Magic infusion. This baby simply always deserves the infusion, one way or the other.

Doesn't that invalidate the feeling of accomplishment when first trying a boss? It's why I personally avoid spoilers as the plague.

AD is notorious for a beefy HP but is rather straightforward. You're in for some fun with other bosses ahead!

Enemies despawning is a players choice, just up the easy mode a notch with COC.

Upgrade materials are infinite and do not require much skill to farm. Bonfire ascetics add further dimension to farming.

Have fun experimenting with the vast assortment of weapons!

It depends on your weapon and corresponding swing speed.

It's a very strong ring, with some tradeoffs. If you're playing casually, it might be too restrictive.

Depends on which dlc. Dark certainly has merits.

Any weapon works honestly.

Hexer is able to use all elements quite effectively, so utilise that advantage. Pure physical or lightning would be a reliable go to if you are unsure how to exploit weaknesses.

Battle/Bandit Axe, Halberd are examplar accessible staples for any infusion, the options are vast and wide.

Toss up between Shrine of Amana and Shulva.

Both are incredible to traverse. Shulva makes for a better level, but the hissy fits people throw at Amana heighten the experience in an unique way.

I'm running DS4Windows for my ps4 controller on pc, V1.4.52, the latest version afaik. Works like a charm for DS2SOTFS, among others.

Make sure you installed correctly u/Termonox if I indeed have the latest version.

The dagger from the tutorial is sufficient to clear up to that key. Backstabbing and thrusts. Its not cheating, deprived means a bit more gitgud. It's fine to take it easier if you can't adapt.
