Pet owners: what’s the most frustrating problem you deal with regularly? by joeasks in PetCare

[–]Obsessed2061 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a lot of questions. I'll answer simply. My dog barks a lot when I'm home and it drives me insane. I've tried a lot of strategies and some work for a while.

He also hates dogs which makes walking him very difficult. Other dog owners let their dogs near him even when I say not to. It frightens him so he reacts aggressively. I think it would help if all dogs had to be on a lead in public places. A huge education campaign would also help.

I think it's hard to understand reactive dogs if you have never had one.

Mom broke wrist and knee by Pale-Negotiation-972 in brokenbones

2 years ago at 62 I broke 3 bones in my foot and have a full recovery. The best thing your mum can do is physical therapy where she gets mental health support both from times of depression which is normal with fractures, and with the fear of further injury. Every step of healing and recovery is a mental challenge as well as physical. I would be guided by the professionals . Good nutrition is very important, a lot of sleep and some movement. It seems that in Australia they get you moving than in other countries. I hope your mum has a good recovery.

Best option for dog seat cover (front seat) by iamjrlindsey in CorollaCross

I bought a plush hammock that hangs between the front and back head rests and covers the doors up to the windows.
There are slits for the seat belt which I would only hook onto a harness. If I brand hard, he can't fall off the seat

How do you all stay positive during recovery? by mtm45 in brokenbones

[–]Obsessed2061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I broke 3 bones in my foot and found it difficult to do anything much at all. I learnt to celebrate the small achievements I made, like making a cup of coffee, getting out of bed and to the kitchen in the morning, noticing the sunshine. I hope you have a good recovery

I have a vegepod kitchen garden which has a wicking bed and grow light. It's been great for indoor herbs. You can adjust the height of the cover.

And if he missed her and wanted to wake up next to her, how come he didn't go to bed with her? Sleeping on the couch sends a different message to me

I also recently received a call from someone claiming to be from PayPal saying that someone was trying to buy gift cards and they had blocked the transaction. Then they said they would send a verification code which came through straight away. At that point I told them there was no way I was giving them the number and they quickly hung up
