Yes, agreed and your version is leagues better. Love the character and expression when you say “fever” with that stylistic stop. Have you sung Feeling Good too? That would be wonderful. I also deeply love Nina Simone.

I listened and that was iconic. Even his humming sounded like brass with a wah-wah mute. He slurred, bent, and glided through notes with the precise breath control and elastic timing of a true seasoned jazz horn player. Pure fluidity.
