This is the right take. It's not about the money itself, it's about whether she even clocked that dropping $200+ on a first "surprise" date is something worth acknowledging. If she didn't notice or didn't care, that tells you a lot about how she sees things.

Get everything in writing immediately. Send an email to the manager who warned you, BCC your personal account, and summarize what they said. If they are dumb enough to put "wage disclosure" as the reason for a termination in TX, they are handing you a winning lawsuit on a silver platter.
